For academies

Create an online academy in your name: languages, coding, skills or Quran

You can create an online academy in your name on Snatr without code: a website in the academy's name in Arabic, English or both, where you sell recorded courses and groups by the month or per session, run exams and completion certificates with a QR code, and teach live on the Pro plan. Snatr is Egyptian, with plans from 999 EGP a month. It suits an owner-run academy with assistants, not many teachers each keeping their own earnings.

Last updated:

  • Sell recorded courses and online groups by monthly subscription or per session, from one account.
  • The site can be in Arabic, English or both, with prices shown in EGP, USD or SAR.
  • Students get a printable completion certificate with a QR code that opens a verification page on your site.
  • Live classes inside the platform are on the Pro plan only.
  • Students can pay online from any country by international card, and online payment on the platform is in Egyptian pounds only.

How do you create an online academy on Snatr?

  1. 1

Sign up and name the academy

Enter your name, WhatsApp number and the academy's name, and you get a site in its name. You can change its link later from the dashboard, but the old link stops working.

  2. 2

Pick the design, language and currency

Choose the site's look from 30 ready designs and change the text, colours and images yourself. Then set the site language: Arabic, English, or both with a language switch.

  3. 3

    Add courses and groups

Build each course with its units, lessons and price; each lesson is either a video you upload or a YouTube link. Online groups are sold by the month or per session, with a timetable.

  4. 4

Set up the sign-up form and coupons

Choose the fields a student fills in when registering, and create discount coupons, or prepaid cards if you sell for cash.

  5. 5

Add teachers and assistants, then start selling

Create an account for each teacher or assistant with the permissions they need, then share the academy's link on your pages.

Which academies fit Snatr?

Snatr is built for teachers, centres and academies that teach in groups, on schedules and through courses, and it was written in right-to-left Arabic from the start. That suits many kinds of academy:

  • A language academy: conversation groups per session or by the month, recorded grammar courses, and a placement test that grades itself.
  • A coding or design academy: long courses split into units, the next lesson opening once the previous one is done, and a completion certificate at the end.
  • A skills or training academy: short courses with a price and a discounted price, and coupons for offers.
  • A Quran academy: online circles per session or by the month, and live sessions where you hand the microphone to a student to recite (on Pro), with attendance recorded automatically.
  • A school-subjects academy: stages, courses, exams, and a parent portal if you also run a centre.

What you sell and how: recorded courses and online groups

There are two ways to sell, and you can use both. A recorded course is bought once and watched; an online group is a subscription by the month (30 days a unit) or per session.

  • A course has an Arabic and English title, a cover image, a price and a discounted price, an intro PDF and a "what you'll learn" list.
  • You can leave one lesson free to watch on the course page before buying.
  • Videos upload with no file size limit, up to 6 hours at 720p and about 3 hours at 1080p, resume if the connection drops, and play at 720p, 480p or 360p. New videos are compressed after upload so they take up less of your storage, with no quality drop you can see.
  • The next lesson opens once the student watches 90% of the video or submits the lesson's exam, and the server enforces it.
  • You see which lessons each student has finished and can export their report as a CSV file.

Live sessions without Zoom

On the Pro plan you run live sessions inside your platform, and students join from their account on your site. Video reaches students at 720p or 360p, and only audio goes both ways, so a student who only watches needs no microphone.

  • Chat has three modes: open, staff only, or closed. Students raise a hand, and you give them the microphone, mute it or take it back.
  • An assistant can moderate a session, handling microphones, chat and joining, but cannot broadcast or end the session.
  • Attendance records itself: present, or late if they joined 10 or more minutes after the start.
  • Recording is optional: where it is available, tick "record the session" before you start, and the recording is saved encrypted in the group's lessons and counts against storage.

Exams and completion certificates

Create exams and quizzes with true/false, single choice, multiple choice and essay questions. An exam can have up to 200 questions, each with up to 10 options and an image.

  • Grading happens on the server, and the answer key never reaches the student's browser.
  • The timer is enforced by the server, so when time is up, it is really up.
  • You grade essay answers by hand with a mark and a comment.
  • You set the number of attempts, or leave it unlimited.
  • A student who finishes gets a printable completion certificate with a QR code that anyone can scan to open a verification page on your site.

Students in the Gulf and outside Egypt: language, currency and payment

Your site can be in Arabic, in English, or both with a language switch, and every piece of text has an Arabic and an English version you write. The site currency can be Egyptian pounds, US dollars or Saudi riyals.

What you need to know: online payment on the platform goes through the Fawaterak gateway in Egyptian pounds only. A student in the Gulf or any other country pays with an international Visa or Mastercard; the amount is charged in pounds and their bank converts it to their currency. Fawry, Aman and mobile wallets are Egyptian methods, for students in Egypt.

If your site currency is USD or SAR, students cannot pay online from the site yet. In that case you collect payment your own way and open the course by hand, or send an activation code. Snatr does not charge in dollars or riyals, and has no Gulf payment methods such as Mada, Tabby or Tamara.

My academy has several teachers. What do I do?

A Snatr account belongs to the academy's owner. Other teachers get assistant accounts; each signs in on your own site and works on the screens you opened for them.

  • There is a ready preset called academic assistant, and you can open or close each screen on its own.
  • A teacher can moderate a live session, but the broadcast itself runs from your account.
  • Suspending a teacher's account ends their sessions at that moment.
  • All money goes into one wallet, and there is no automatic split between teachers; you settle that outside the platform.

Sign-up, offers and marketing

You choose what a student fills in when registering: governorate, city, stage, a national ID photo and a parent's phone. Students sign in with a phone number or email, and a forgotten password is reset with a 6-digit code by email or WhatsApp.

  • Discount coupons as a percentage or a fixed amount, for the whole site, a course, a group or a stage, with a usage limit or unlimited.
  • Prepaid cards you print and sell; a code opens a course or group or adds credit to the student's balance.
  • A list of students who signed up and did not buy, so you can follow up.
  • Search title, description and keywords in Arabic and English, and a sitemap for your own site so search engines find its pages.
  • A free WhatsApp button for your site from the tools store.

The academy's content is protected from downloading

Videos you upload are encrypted, and the key goes to the decryption module inside the browser, not to the page. That is why download extensions, "paste the link" sites and tools like yt-dlp get useless files. A moving watermark shows the student's name, a short code and your logo.

A student watches from one device at a time: signing in on a new device signs the old one out, which stops students sharing an account. Screen recording and filming the screen with another phone are not blocked, and lessons that use a YouTube link are not protected.

Snatr or a global platform like Teachable or Thinkific?

Teachable and Thinkific are strong platforms, with things Snatr does not have, such as a mobile app and affiliate marketing. The difference shows in payment and language. These figures are as published on their sites when we checked in October 2026:

Limits we state plainly

  • One account belongs to the academy's owner. There is no separate dashboard and wallet per teacher, and no splitting earnings between teachers.
  • Snatr is not a marketplace that brings you students. You bring them from your own pages and ads.
  • Online payment is in Egyptian pounds only, even for a student abroad paying by international card, and there are no instalments.
  • There is no mobile app in the stores; the academy runs in the phone browser.
  • Live classes are on Pro only and are not encrypted. Screen recording is not blocked, live or on video.
  • There are no Quran-specific tools such as tracking memorised pages and surahs, and no AI question generation.

Questions about creating an online academy

How do I create my own online academy?

Sign up on Snatr with the academy's name, pick a design, and add your courses and groups. The academy runs on a site in its name with no code, no hosting and no domain to buy.

How much does an online academy on Snatr cost?

Current plans: Starter at 999 EGP a month for up to 100 students; Basic at 1,999 EGP a month for up to 200 students; Pro at 2,999 EGP a month for up to 400 students. There is no setup fee, and live classes and the custom domain are on Pro only.

Can a language academy have several teachers?

Yes, teachers work as assistants with the permissions you set. Earnings go into one wallet, though, with no automatic split between them.

My students are in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf. How do they pay?

They pay online with an international Visa or Mastercard; the amount is charged in Egyptian pounds and their bank converts it to riyals or their own currency. That works when your site currency is the pound, because online payment on the platform is in pounds only. With a SAR or USD site currency, online payment is not available yet, so you collect payment your own way and open the course by hand or with an activation code.

Does the academy issue certificates?

Yes, a printable completion certificate with a QR code that opens a verification page on your site, so anyone can check it is genuine.

Can I run an online Quran academy?

Yes, with online circles by the month or per session, and live sessions on Pro where you hand a student the microphone, with attendance recorded automatically. There is no dedicated tool for tracking memorisation by page and surah.

Does Snatr bring me students?

No. Snatr gives you an academy in your name, and you bring the students. There is no affiliate program either.

Is there a mobile app for the academy?

No. The academy runs in the phone and computer browser, and there is no app on Google Play or the App Store.
