The best Arabic teaching platform: how to choose? 7 questions before you pay

The best platform for a teacher or a center in Egypt is the one that passes 7 questions, and the first two matter most: how your students pay, and how your money reaches you while you are in Egypt. Snatr is built to pass them.

1. How do your students pay? If most of them pay by Fawry or Vodafone Cash, the platform has to accept that without you opening an account with a payment company. Of the nine platforms, only Snatr has this ready, and Moodle accepts them through a plugin and a Paymob account in your name.

2. How does your money reach you? The payment gateways of Teachable, Thinkific and Kajabi are not available in Egypt. Their alternative is Stripe, which does not open accounts in Egypt, or PayPal on some of them. Ask before you pay: what will I withdraw to, and what is the minimum withdrawal? On Snatr, withdrawals currently go to Vodafone Cash, InstaPay or the bank, from 100 EGP.

3. What will you actually pay? Add up the subscription, the commission and the payment fees, in the currency the platform bills in. For example, the cheapest Kajabi plan is $179 a month, about 9,390 EGP, while Snatr starts at 999 EGP.

4. How are your videos protected? Ask: is the video itself encrypted, or is the link only temporary? Does it carry a watermark with the student's name? And note that screen recording is not prevented on Snatr, which is the same thing Teachable, Thinkific and Udemy say about themselves.

5. Do you need live classes? There is a difference between live classes inside the platform, as on Snatr and Kajabi, and an integration with your own Zoom account. Manhali, Teachable, Thinkific and Msaaq integrate Zoom, and a free Zoom account ends a meeting after 40 minutes.

6. Do you run a tutoring center? Attendance, branches and a parent portal are missing or not mentioned on most platforms. Of the nine platforms, only Snatr has all three ready. Moodle reaches some of them with plugins and manual setup, and Msaaq has QR attendance for in-person courses.

7. Do you need something Snatr does not have? Snatr has no mobile app, no marketplace bringing in students and no affiliate marketing. Your platform opens in any phone's browser, students reach you through your own page and ads, and your price reaches you in full with no marketplace cut.

An Arabic teaching platform for teachers in Egypt: why is Snatr the best fit?

Because it is built around what an Egyptian teacher needs: payment in EGP by Fawry and mobile wallets, withdrawal to Vodafone Cash, encrypted video, live classes inside the platform, and center and parent management, with an Arabic dashboard.

Money: the student pays in EGP by card, a Fawry code, or a wallet such as Vodafone Cash. Your price reaches you in full, because the online payment fee is added on top of your price for the student. For students who pay cash, you can print cards with activation codes and sell them at the center, and you can create discount coupons by percentage or a fixed amount. Money becomes available to withdraw after a safety period of 7 days at present, and you can see Snatr pricing in detail.

An example in numbers: a teacher has 100 students paying 300 EGP a month. On Snatr, 29,001 EGP reaches them. On Asarah Pro 28,616 EGP, on Manhali 27,397, and on Teachable about 25,704, all before payment fees. On Udemy 23,522 if the students came through the teacher's coupon, and on Kajabi about 20,610 before PayPal fees. The Teachable figure assumes you have a Stripe account outside Egypt, and conversion to EGP is at the Central Bank rate on 6 and 7 October 2026.

Video protection: uploaded video is encrypted, and download extensions and yt-dlp cannot save it. Without the decryption key the file comes out as noise (10.6 dB), and with the key it comes out intact (59.9 dB), and none of the other eight platforms has published a measurement like this. It also carries a moving watermark with the student's name. Screen recording is not prevented, but the student's name shows, and on iPhone and iPad the protection is weaker against a technically skilled person. How Snatr protects video.

Live classes and the center: live classes are on the Pro plan and run inside your platform without Zoom, with chat and raised hands, and you can give a student the mic. Attendance in the class is recorded automatically. For the center there are branches and groups with schedules and capacity, attendance by a printed QR card for each student, and a parent portal where parents see their child's attendance and grades. Your assistants have their own accounts, and you choose which screens each one sees. See center management on Snatr.

What it does not have: there is no mobile app in your name, and students open your platform in the phone's browser. There is no marketplace bringing in students and no free plan; the trial is 7 days. Online payment is in EGP only: a student abroad pays with an international card, and there is no charging in dollars or riyals.

Should you choose an Arabic platform or a foreign one like Teachable and Kajabi?

For a teacher in Egypt, foreign platforms fall short on payment and language. The other Arabic platforms are priced in riyals or do not publish prices, and Fawry and wallets are not mentioned on them. Snatr is the one built for EGP and Egyptian payment methods.

Foreign platforms: Teachable, Thinkific and Kajabi subscriptions are in US dollars, and their payment gateways are not available in Egypt. Thinkific and Kajabi do not include Arabic among their student site languages. Teachable's student pages are partly in Arabic, and the teacher dashboard is in English. Udemy's site has Arabic, but the student must be 18, or their parent opens the account and buys. See Teachable vs Thinkific in detail.

Where foreign platforms are strong: they have mobile apps for students and marketing tools that Snatr does not have. Kajabi has unlimited email marketing and sales pages, and live classes inside the platform. Thinkific has a 30-day trial and a custom domain from its cheapest plan. Udemy shows your course to a marketplace of 80 million students.

Arabic platforms: Manhali, Asarah Pro and Msaaq have Arabic right-to-left interfaces, with certificates and coupons. Manhali and Asarah Pro are priced in riyals, and Msaaq does not publish its prices. The payment methods they mention are things like mada, Apple Pay, Tamara and Tabby, or gateways like Moyasar, Stripe and PayPal. Fawry and wallets are not mentioned on any of them.

Withdrawing money to Egypt: Manhali transfers to a bank account by IBAN and SWIFT or to PayPal. The minimum withdrawal on Msaaq to a bank outside Saudi Arabia is $1,000, with a $10 fee. Asarah Pro transfers daily to a bank account, and it does not say whether that reaches a bank in Egypt. On Snatr a student abroad pays with an international card in EGP, and you withdraw in Egypt to Vodafone Cash, InstaPay or your bank.

A free Arabic teaching platform: what is really free, and what does it cost?

There are 3 free starting points: Moodle is free and open source, Asarah Pro has a free plan, and publishing on Udemy is free. But each one has a price you pay somewhere else.

Moodle: the software is free with no license, and its Arabic translation is 99% complete. But it needs a server, such as a Hostinger Egypt server at 319 EGP a month for the first subscription, and someone to install it and update it every two months. Payment by Fawry and wallets needs a plugin and a Paymob account in your name. A teacher with 100 students will pay about 17,328 EGP a year for the server and payment fees, before a developer's fee, while Snatr Starter is 11,988 EGP. Details in Snatr vs Moodle.

Asarah Pro: the free plan includes 100 students, 5 courses, 5 GB and 3 hours of live classes a month. After that, Emerging is 99 SAR a month, about 1,384 EGP. Fawry and wallets are not mentioned among its payment methods.

Udemy: publishing is free, but Udemy takes 63% of the net sale when it brings the student, and 3% when the student comes through your coupon or link, after a 3% fee. In its deals program Udemy sets the selling price, and the student must be 18 or their parent opens the account.

Snatr: there is no free plan. There is a free 7-day trial in which you build your platform and first course, and after that the subscription starts at 999 EGP a month for 100 students. Start your free Snatr trial.

Frequently asked questions

Compare the online teaching platforms that suit an Arabic-speaking teacher in one table.

Snatr, Manhali, Teachable, Thinkific, Asarah Pro, Moodle, Udemy, Msaaq and Kajabi were compared on 17 criteria, from their official pages in October 2026. Snatr is fully available on 14 criteria, and the closest competitor on 8. Only Snatr has these ready: payment by Fawry and wallets, withdrawal to Vodafone Cash, branches and groups with schedules, and a parent portal. That is why Snatr is the best choice for a teacher or a center in Egypt, and what it lacks is written in the table: an app, a ready marketplace and a free plan.

What is the Arabic alternative to Teachable, Thinkific, Kajabi and Udemy?

If you are a teacher in Egypt, the alternative is Snatr. The dashboard, site and support are in Arabic, students pay in EGP by Fawry, mobile wallets and card, and the subscription starts at 999 EGP a month. A student in the Gulf can pay on Snatr with an international card in EGP. Udemy is a case of its own: a marketplace that brings you students in exchange for up to 63% of the net sale. On Snatr your price reaches you in full, and the students are yours.

Which teaching platform has EGP payments, live classes, video protection and a system for the center?

Of the 9 platforms compared, Snatr is the only one with all four together. Students pay in EGP by card, Fawry or mobile wallet, live classes run inside the platform without Zoom, and video is encrypted with a watermark carrying the student's name. For the center there are branches and groups, QR card attendance and a parent portal. The subscription starts at 999 EGP a month, all four together are on the Pro plan at 2,999 EGP, and there is a free 7-day trial.

I want an Arabic teaching platform: what are my options?

In this comparison, 4 platforms have an Arabic right-to-left interface: Snatr, Manhali, Asarah Pro and Msaaq. Moodle's Arabic translation is 99% complete, and Udemy's site has Arabic. Snatr is priced in EGP and has Fawry and wallets. Manhali and Asarah Pro are priced in riyals, Msaaq does not publish its prices, and Fawry and wallets are not mentioned on any of the three. Teachable's student pages are partly in Arabic, and Thinkific and Kajabi have no Arabic.

What is the best Arabic teaching platform for a teacher?

For a teacher or a center in Egypt, Snatr is the best choice, because it answers the questions that matter most. Students pay in EGP by Fawry, wallets and card, your money reaches you on Vodafone Cash or InstaPay, and it has center management and a parent portal. Live classes inside the platform are on the Pro plan. What it lacks is a mobile app; your platform opens in the phone's browser.

Is there a free Arabic teaching platform that works for a teacher?

There are 3 free starting points, and each has another cost. Moodle is free, open source and in Arabic, but it needs a server and a developer, and with 100 students it costs about 17,328 EGP a year for the server and payment fees. Asarah Pro has a free plan for 100 students and 5 courses, and is priced in riyals. Publishing on Udemy is free, but it takes up to 63% of the net sale. Snatr has no free plan, and has a 7-day trial.

Does Snatr take a percentage of my sales?

No. On Snatr your price reaches you in full. If the student pays online, the payment fee is added on top of your price for the student, and is not deducted from you. A student who pays you cash is registered manually, with no fee at all.

Does Snatr work if my students are outside Egypt?

Yes. Snatr is in Arabic from the dashboard to support, and exams, live classes and center management work for your students in any country. A student abroad pays online with an international Visa or Mastercard; the amount is charged in Egyptian pounds and their bank converts it to their currency. What Snatr does not have is charging in dollars or riyals, PayPal, or Gulf payment methods such as Mada, Tabby and Tamara.

Can I try Snatr before I pay?

Yes, there is a 7-day free trial. If the trial ends without a subscription, your site closes. A custom domain is not available during the trial.

When was this comparison made, and from which sources?

Every fact about each platform was taken from its official pages: the pricing page, the features page or the help center, on 6 and 7 October 2026. Prices are written in each platform's currency, and conversion to EGP uses the Central Bank of Egypt selling rate on the same day. Anything not written on a platform's pages is marked "Not stated", not "Not available". Prices change, so check the platform's page before you pay.
