What is VClasses? And who is it for?

VClasses is a platform for building an education platform in the name of a teacher or an academy, and its website is vclasses.net. Its address is in Maadi, Cairo, and it presents itself with the line "e-learning security". It also has a shared app called VStudy on Google Play and the App Store.

Its main focus is content protection. It says it streams video encrypted in m3u8 format, and uses Native code in its apps that blocks screen recording on supported devices. The video carries a watermark with the student's name, and the student's name or number is spoken in the video every so often. That protection is in their apps, and playback in the browser is "unprotected" in their own words.

It has other strong points too: apps with your name and logo on the yearly subscription, notifications to students and parents by WhatsApp, SMS and email, and built-in Zoom for live classes. Students can buy a whole course or a single lecture, or pay a monthly subscription or in instalments.

VClasses prices are published as table images on its home page, not as text and with no date. Monthly plans start at 750 EGP for 50 students, yearly plans at 15,000 EGP for 100 students, and there is a Pay as you go plan at 20 EGP per seat a month. The line "4 EGP a month" is the extra-student price on the largest yearly plan. The "double the plan" offer doubles storage and bandwidth, and a button books you a free meeting to ask questions.

Snatr, at snatr.com, is an education platform for Egyptian teachers, with prices published in EGP. It has the tutoring center with its branches, QR card attendance and a parent portal, together with courses, encrypted video and live classes inside your platform. If you are comparing Snatr with other platforms, see all of Snatr's comparisons.

VClasses pricing: how much does it cost against Snatr?

VClasses publishes its prices as table images on its home page. For 100 students, its cheapest option is 1,250 EGP a month on yearly billing, and 1,500 on monthly billing. Snatr costs 999 EGP a month for 100 students, with selling, payments and hosting included.

In Snatr

  • Starter: 999 EGP a month, 100 students, 50 GB, and an extra student costs 15 EGP.
  • Basic: 1,999 EGP, 200 students, 150 GB, and an extra student costs 10 EGP.
  • Pro: 2,999 EGP, 400 students, 300 GB, an extra student costs 7, with live classes and a custom domain.
  • An extra student is charged once when they join, not every month, and sign-ups never stop.
  • Your price reaches you in full, and the online payment commission is added on top for the student to pay.

In ⁨VClasses⁩

  • Monthly: 750 EGP for 50 students, 3,250 for 250, and 5,000 for 500.
  • Yearly: 15,000 EGP for 100 students, 30,000 for 250, and 40,000 for 500, paid in two instalments.
  • Extra students every month: 15 EGP on the smallest plan, down to 4 on the largest yearly plan.
  • Pay as you go: 20 EGP per seat a month, and you pay from your first sale.
  • A seat can be reused several times a year, and refunds are available in the first 14 days.

Example: a teacher with 100 students paying 300 EGP a month

Snatr leaves you 29,001 EGP a month, and VClasses up to 28,750 before gateway fees

VClasses figures come from the price table images on its home page on 16 October 2026, which carry no date. The yearly "Individual" plan is paid as 15,000 EGP in two instalments, and on Pay as you go 100 seats cost 2,000 a month. The tables do not mention gateway fees or any commission on sales, so ask them before you calculate.

The line "4 EGP a month" on their home page is the extra-student price on the largest yearly plan, 180,000 EGP for 4,000 students, not a starting price. For 100 students, the cheapest published option is the yearly "Individual" plan at 15,000 EGP a year, which is 1,250 a month, paid in two instalments. Snatr's first plan, at 999 EGP, covers 100 students and 50 GB. The tables are undated images, so confirm with them before you pay.

Their seat system is built for short courses. Their example: 100 seats and a 3-month course means you can teach 400 students a year. On VClasses an extra student is charged every month, while on Snatr they are charged once and the seat stays yours.

On VClasses you connect the payment gateway yourself, and the site does not say who pays its fees, or whether there is a commission on sales. On Snatr students pay by card, Fawry or wallets, and the payment commission is added on top for them to pay. See Snatr's prices in detail.

Does VClasses accept EGP, Fawry and wallets?

Yes. VClasses says you can connect your platform to Fawry, Fawaterak, Paymob and any mobile wallet, as well as PayPal and Gulf gateways. On Snatr students pay by card, Fawry and wallets, without you connecting a gateway in your name.

In Snatr

  • Students pay by Visa or Mastercard, even from outside Egypt with an international card, and the amount is in EGP.
  • Fawry: the student gets a code and pays it at any Fawry outlet within 24 hours.
  • Mobile wallets such as Vodafone Cash.
  • The money goes into your Snatr wallet, and you withdraw it to Vodafone Cash, InstaPay or a bank.
  • No charging in dollars or riyals, no PayPal, and no instalments for students.

In ⁨VClasses⁩

  • Connects Fawry, Fawaterak, Paymob, PayPal, Tap and any mobile wallet.
  • Their blog also mentions Stripe, MyFatoorah, Tabby, Tamara, STC Pay and Mada.
  • Students buy a course once or by lecture, or pay a monthly or yearly subscription.
  • Instalments over several payments, collected automatically by the platform.
  • A student can pay by Vodafone Cash or Etisalat Cash, and the admin opens the session manually from "Orders".

VClasses connects many payment gateways, including PayPal and Gulf gateways, and offers instalments and monthly subscriptions for students, which Snatr does not have.

The difference is that on VClasses you connect the payment gateway to your platform yourself, and the site does not say whose name the account is in, so ask them. On Snatr you do not need an account with anyone: the money becomes available to withdraw after a holding period, currently 7 days, and the minimum withdrawal is currently 100 EGP.

Video protection and screen recording: VClasses or Snatr?

VClasses says its apps block screen recording on supported devices, and Snatr does not block it. Snatr encrypts the video file itself in the browser and has published its protection measurement. On VClasses, playback in the browser is "unprotected" in their words, and the protection is in its app.

In Snatr

  • Uploaded video is encrypted, and its key goes to the browser's decryption module, not to the page.
  • Downloader extensions, "paste the link and download" sites and yt-dlp cannot download it.
  • A moving watermark on the video carries the student's name.
  • A student can be signed in on one device at a time, and signing in on a new device signs the old one out.
  • Screen recording is not blocked, and neither is a phone filming the screen.

In ⁨VClasses⁩

  • Encrypted m3u8 streaming, and Native code they say blocks capture even on rooted devices.
  • Screen recording blocked "on supported devices", in their own words.
  • A changing watermark with the student's name or email, and their name or number spoken in the video.
  • Limits on the number and type of each student's devices, geo-blocking, and IDM blocking in the desktop app.
  • The teacher chooses: browser playback, "unprotected" in their words, or the desktop app with protection.

At Snatr we measured the protection. Without the key the file comes out as noise, with a similarity to the original of only 10.6 dB. With the key it comes out intact at 59.9 dB, and the higher the number, the closer the picture is to the original. VClasses has not published a measurement like this.

VClasses promises to block screen recording, and Snatr does not. But blocking recording requires the student to watch in their app, not in any browser, and ask them exactly what "supported devices" means.

On Snatr students watch in the phone or computer browser without installing anything. On iPhone and iPad the video plays normally, but the protection there is somewhat weaker against a technically skilled person. Learn the details of video protection on Snatr.

Live classes and exams: Zoom on VClasses, or live streaming inside Snatr?

VClasses connects your classes to Zoom and Google Meet, and records student attendance from Zoom. Snatr has live classes inside your platform on the Pro plan, without Zoom. Both have exams, homework and completion certificates.

In Snatr

  • Live classes inside your platform on the Pro plan, with chat and hand raising, and you can give a student the microphone.
  • Attendance in a live class is recorded automatically: present or late.
  • Exams and homework are marked automatically, and the mark shows to the student and the parent.
  • Exam time is counted on the server, so changing the phone's clock gives the student no extra time.
  • Completion certificates you can print, with a QR code that opens a verification page on your site.

In ⁨VClasses⁩

  • Built-in Zoom "without any add-ons", and Google Meet.
  • Automatic attendance in Zoom lectures.
  • Lessons, chapters, exams and homework, and a study plan for each student.
  • A course completion certificate with a background and color you choose, and a verification code is not mentioned.
  • The Zoom recording uploads automatically and is attached to the lesson, according to their help center.

Live classes inside the platform mean you do not need a Zoom account connected to your platform. Assistants on Snatr can moderate a class: microphones, chat and entry.

Recording a live class on Snatr is a feature you switch on, and when it is on, the recording is added to the student group. Live streaming is not encrypted like uploaded video: it carries a watermark and a temporary link, and screen recording works.

I run a tutoring center: VClasses or Snatr for attendance, branches and parents?

Snatr has branches, groups, QR card attendance, assistants with permissions and a parent portal. VClasses has a list of centers and teacher schedules, and WhatsApp messages to parents, and student attendance at the center is not mentioned.

In Snatr

  • Branches and groups with their schedules and number of seats, and a register for every session.
  • A printed, signed QR card for each student, or a manual register.
  • A parent portal on your site, with their child's branch attendance, and marks if enrolled online.
  • Assistants and front-desk staff with their own accounts, and 4 ready permission templates.
  • No messages or notifications reach parents on their phone.

In ⁨VClasses⁩

  • A "Centers" screen in the dashboard: each center's details, location, numbers and teacher schedules.
  • Notifications to students and parents by email, WhatsApp or SMS.
  • Reports sent to parents on WhatsApp automatically.
  • Recording student attendance at the center by card or code: not stated.
  • A "parents" role among users, and an Excel file that includes the parent's number.

WhatsApp messages to parents are a real VClasses advantage, and Snatr has nothing like it. Many parents will not open a portal, and expect a message after class.

On Snatr, the advantage is that the center and online are in one account. The QR card carries a signed code that cannot be forged, the assistant scans it at the door, and that attendance appears to the parent in their portal. But a card can be photographed and sent to someone else, so this is attendance by card, not by fingerprint.

On Snatr you choose the registration form fields yourself: governorate, city, stage, parent's number and ID photo. Students sign in with their mobile number or email.

In short: See center management on Snatr: branches, groups, attendance and assistants.

An app in your name and a site in your name: VClasses or Snatr?

Both give you a site in your name and a custom domain. Snatr has 30 ready designs, and the domain is on the Pro plan, where its team buys and connects it. VClasses gives you an app in your name in the stores on the yearly subscription, and Snatr has no app.

In Snatr

  • Your platform starts on a site in your name.
  • A custom domain such as mybrand.com on the Pro plan: the Snatr team buys and connects it, and the first year is free.
  • 30 ready designs whose text, colors and images you edit without code, and the first two are free.
  • Every site has its own sitemap that helps Google find your pages and courses.
  • No app in your name. Students open your platform in the phone's browser.

In ⁨VClasses⁩

  • Yearly subscription: a site and 3 apps with your name and logo, for Android, iPhone and desktop.
  • Monthly subscription: only the site is in your name, and the apps carry the VStudy name.
  • VStudy asks the student for your platform's code, then opens only your platform.
  • The private app on Google Play, the App Store and the Huawei Store.
  • You can connect a custom domain, with a guide for Namecheap, and the number of designs is not mentioned.

On VClasses the app in your name comes only with the yearly subscription, which starts at 15,000 EGP a year. On the monthly plan, students use VStudy and type your platform's code. On Snatr, students open your platform in their phone's browser without installing anything.

On Snatr, the custom domain is not available during the trial. Once it is connected, the old link redirects to it automatically, along with your Google ranking. Browse Snatr's designs before you choose.

How do you start with VClasses and with Snatr? And who helps you?

On Snatr you sign up and start a 7-day trial yourself. VClasses offers a 14-day trial by phone, and a Pay as you go plan with no upfront payment. Snatr's support is 24/7, and VClasses support runs Sunday to Thursday, 9 to 6.

In Snatr

  • Sign up at snatr.com and start a free 7-day trial, with no payment and no card.
  • You set up your courses and site yourself from a dashboard in Arabic, also available in English.
  • Support in Arabic, 24/7, on WhatsApp and by email at support@snatr.com.
  • No affiliate marketing, and marketing to your students is up to you.

In ⁨VClasses⁩

  • A free 14-day trial, according to a post on their blog, with sign-up by phone.
  • Book a free meeting on the website before you subscribe.
  • Support page: Sunday to Thursday, 9 to 6, with a reply within 24 working hours, while the home page says "we work 24".
  • An affiliate program for VClasses itself.

VClasses says in a blog post that it is accredited by the National eLearning Center (NELC) in Saudi Arabia. That matters if you work with institutions in Saudi Arabia, so ask them for the accreditation certificate.

On Snatr, your site closes when the trial ends without a subscription. Changing your plan after that goes through support.

How to move from VClasses to Snatr

  1. 1

Try Snatr before you stop anything

Open your Snatr account and use the free 7-day trial. Keep VClasses running until you are sure everything has moved. Note that your Snatr site closes when the trial ends without a subscription.

  2. 2

Take a copy of your videos and student data

Get the original video files ready from your computer, and ask VClasses for your list of students and their subscriptions. Snatr has no Excel import, so you add students from the dashboard with the list in front of you.

  3. 3

Upload your videos to Snatr so they are encrypted

Create your courses and upload the videos so they are encrypted, or add a YouTube link for free lessons. Set a price in EGP for each course, and print activation code cards if you used to sell printed coupons.

  4. 4

Tell your students how to sign in

Send students the link to your new platform, and tell them they will watch in the browser without an app. Students sign in with their mobile number or email.

  5. 5

If you run a center, set up branches and cards

Create each branch and its groups with their schedules and number of seats, and print a QR card for every student. Open accounts for assistants and parents, and send each parent the link to their portal.

  6. 6

Decide what to do about your VClasses subscription

If your subscription is yearly, ask them about cancellation terms before you stop, because the refund they publish is only within the first 14 days of subscribing, and only if you ran into problems. Keep the app running until all students have moved.

Snatr's limits, before you sign up

We list them up front so you decide knowing everything.

  • Screen recording is not blocked: nor is a phone filming the screen. The watermark makes the student's name visible on a recording, which deters but is not proof.
  • No app in your name: your platform opens in the phone's browser, and there is no app on Google Play or the App Store.
  • No messages to parents: no WhatsApp, SMS or email is sent automatically. Parents follow up from their portal on your site.
  • EGP payments only: a student abroad pays with an international card and their bank converts the amount, but there is no PayPal, no Gulf gateways and no charging in other currencies.
  • No instalments or monthly subscriptions for students: students pay for the course, or use a code or credit.
  • One teacher per platform: there is no way to have several teachers with split earnings in one account.
  • No affiliate marketing: marketing to your students is up to you, because Snatr has no marketplace that brings new students.
  • QR attendance needs internet: scanning is done from the dashboard, and does not continue if the internet drops.
  • Live classes and a custom domain are on the Pro plan only: at 2,999 EGP a month. Changing plans goes through support.

Frequently asked questions

Snatr or VClasses: which is better for a teacher in Egypt?

Snatr is better for a teacher or a center in Egypt. Its first plan is 999 EGP a month for 100 students, and an extra student is charged once, not every month. It has QR card attendance, branches, a parent portal and live classes inside your platform without Zoom, and students pay without you connecting a gateway yourself. VClasses offers an app in your name on the yearly plan and WhatsApp messages to parents, and its lowest published price for 100 students is 1,250 EGP a month.

How much does VClasses cost?

As of 16 October 2026, VClasses publishes its price tables as images on its home page. Monthly plans run from 750 EGP for 50 students to 14,000 EGP for 4,000 seats, and yearly plans from 15,000 EGP for 100 students to 180,000 for 4,000 students, with yearly plans paid in two instalments. There is also a Pay as you go plan: 20 EGP per seat a month, paid from your first sale. The tables are undated, so confirm with them before you pay.

Is vclasses.net the official VClasses website?

Yes. The VClasses website is vclasses.net, its listed address is in Maadi, Cairo, and its shared app is called VStudy on Google Play and the App Store. The domain vclasses.com is not theirs, and it is listed for sale.

Does VClasses block screen recording?

VClasses says Native code in its apps blocks screen recording on supported devices. If a student watches in the browser, their help center calls that playback "unprotected". Snatr does not block screen recording, but it encrypts the video in the browser, puts the student's name on it, and has published its protection measurement.

What is the difference between the VStudy app and an app in my name on VClasses?

According to their FAQ, VStudy is a shared app that asks the student for your platform's code, and it comes with the monthly subscription. On the yearly subscription you get an app with your name and logo on the stores, which opens your platform directly. Snatr has no app, and students open your platform in the browser.

Does VClasses have live classes?

VClasses connects your classes to Zoom and Google Meet, records attendance from Zoom automatically, and attaches the class recording to the lesson. Snatr has live classes inside your platform on the Pro plan, without Zoom, with chat, hand raising and a microphone, and attendance is recorded automatically.

Can I sell printed activation codes on Snatr, like VClasses coupons?

Yes. Snatr generates cards with activation codes that you print and sell for cash. A code opens a specific course or group, or adds credit for the student on your site. There are also discount coupons as a percentage or a fixed amount, and each student can use a coupon once.

Does Snatr take a percentage of my sales?

No. On Snatr your price reaches you in full. If a student pays online, the payment commission is added on top of your price and paid by the student, not deducted from you. A student who pays you cash is recorded manually with no commission at all.

If my students exceed my plan on Snatr, do sign-ups stop?

No. New students sign up as usual, and an extra student is charged once when they join, not every month: 15 EGP on Starter, 10 on Basic and 7 on Pro. A center student who only attends at the branch, with no online enrolment, does not count at all.

Is there a free trial on VClasses and on Snatr?

Yes, on both. VClasses offers 14 days in a blog post, with sign-up by phone, and it also has a Pay as you go plan with no upfront payment. Snatr's trial is 7 days with no card, you sign up and start yourself, and your site closes when it ends without a subscription.
