Snatr vs Msaaq: A Comparison for Egyptian Teachers Before You Choose (2026)

If you are a teacher or a center owner in Egypt, Snatr is the better choice. Its prices are published in EGP from 999 EGP, and you try it yourself for 7 days. Students pay with Fawry and mobile wallets, you withdraw to Vodafone Cash, and you get a parent portal. Msaaq is a Saudi platform for organizations and training centers, its prices are not published, and withdrawing to Egypt is an international transfer of at least 1,000 USD.

What is the Msaaq platform, and who is it for?

Msaaq is a Saudi platform from Riyadh, started in 2020. It builds you an online academy under your own name, where you sell courses, digital products and consultation sessions. Its website is msaaq.com, and your academy starts on a free link on msaaq.net or on your own domain.

Msaaq's home page today presents it as "an LMS for human training", that is, a training management system for government bodies, training centers and companies in Saudi Arabia. It also talks about Saudi Vision 2030, and about helping you get licensed by the National eLearning Center there.

According to its "About us" page, Msaaq says it has 5 million trainees. That figure is published on their website, not ours.

Msaaq's real strength is its training and selling tools. It has a question bank, automatic certificates, badges and points for students, digital products, coupons, affiliate marketing, and email and SMS campaigns. It also has in-person courses with QR attendance, and an account manager for each platform.

What is missing from Msaaq's pages is the part an Egyptian teacher lives with every day. There is no Fawry or Vodafone Cash, no withdrawal to Vodafone Cash or InstaPay, and no parent portal. That is the main difference between it and Snatr.

Snatr, at snatr.com, also builds you a platform under your own name, but it is built for teachers and tutoring centers in Egypt from the start. If you are comparing other platforms, see all Snatr comparisons, or the Snatr and Manhali comparison.

How much does Msaaq cost, and which is cheaper for an Egyptian teacher?

Msaaq does not publish its prices: the pricing page only has a form to book a call. Snatr's prices are published in EGP, start at 999 EGP a month, and nothing is deducted from your price.

In Snatr

  • Starter: 999 EGP a month, 100 students, 50 GB, and an extra student costs 15 EGP.
  • Basic: 1,999 EGP, 200 students, 150 GB, and an extra student costs 10 EGP.
  • Pro: 2,999 EGP, 400 students, 300 GB, an extra student costs 7 EGP, plus live classes and a custom domain.
  • You receive your full price, and the online payment fee is added on the student on top of your price.
  • You sign up and try it free for 7 days, without talking to anyone.

In ⁨Msaaq⁩

  • The pricing page has no prices at all, just a "Book a discovery call" form.
  • Msaaq Pay has no monthly fee, but takes a percentage of each transaction, and the percentage is not published.
  • On top of that there is a fixed fee of 1 riyal (or 30 cents) per payment.
  • Subscription money is not refunded after payment, even when paid in advance.

Example: a teacher with 100 students paying 300 EGP a month

Snatr's whole subscription (999 EGP) is less than Msaaq's fixed fees alone (1,398 EGP)

Snatr (Starter)Msaaq (with Msaaq Pay)
Your monthly sales30,000 EGP30,000 EGP (about 572 dollars)

Fixed fee per transactionNot deducted from you100 riyals, about 1,398 EGP
Withdrawing your earnings to EgyptVodafone Cash, InstaPay or bankInternational transfer for 10 dollars, at least 1,000 dollars
What you receive per month29,001 EGP28,602 EGP minus the subscription and percentage

Exchange rate: the riyal at 13.9752 EGP and the dollar at 52.46 EGP, the Central Bank of Egypt selling rate on 7 October 2026. The calculation includes only what Msaaq has published, and the subscription and percentage come on top of it. The minimum withdrawal to a bank outside Saudi Arabia is 1,000 dollars (about 52,460 EGP), so one month of sales here would not be enough for a first withdrawal. On Snatr the student pays the online payment fee on top of the 300 EGP.

We looked at Msaaq's pricing page on 7 October 2026 from Egypt. Its heading is "How do we think about cost?", and it has no plan and no number. So the price is set on a call, depending on the size of the organization and its usage. The subscription itself is monthly or yearly, and renews automatically from your card.

On Snatr, if your students go over your plan, registration does not stop, and each extra student is charged at your plan's price. A student who paid you cash at the center is recorded by hand with no commission at all. See Snatr's pricing in detail.

In short: If you book a call with Msaaq, ask them for 3 numbers: the monthly subscription, the Msaaq Pay percentage on your plan, and the minimum withdrawal to a bank account in Egypt.

Does Msaaq accept Fawry and Vodafone Cash, and how do you get paid in Egypt?

Msaaq's pages do not mention Fawry or Egyptian mobile wallets. Msaaq Pay accepts Mada, Visa, Mastercard and Apple Pay, and withdrawing to a bank outside Saudi Arabia is an international transfer of at least 1,000 dollars. On Snatr you withdraw to Vodafone Cash or InstaPay.

In Snatr

  • The student pays in EGP by card, Visa and Mastercard.
  • Fawry: the student gets a code and pays it at any Fawry outlet within 24 hours.
  • Mobile wallets such as Vodafone Cash.
  • You withdraw to Vodafone Cash, InstaPay or your bank account, and the minimum withdrawal is currently 100 EGP.
  • The money becomes available to withdraw after a safety period, currently 7 days.

In ⁨Msaaq⁩

  • Msaaq Pay: Mada, Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay and KNET.
  • Other gateways: Stripe, Paddle, PayLink, MyFatoorah, Tap and PayPal.
  • Installments with Tamara and Tabby, and bank transfers you review and confirm by hand.
  • Withdrawing to a bank outside Saudi Arabia: a minimum of 1,000 dollars, with a 10-dollar fee.
  • An international transfer takes 10 to 15 business days.

This is according to Msaaq's help center, and none of its gateways lists Fawry, Vodafone Cash or InstaPay.

To turn on Msaaq Pay you must first verify your academy: a photo of your ID, and your bank account with IBAN and SWIFT (the bank's international code). The review takes 3 to 5 business days.

If your sales are 30,000 EGP a month, you will wait about two months until your balance passes 1,000 dollars. After that the transfer itself takes up to 15 business days.

Msaaq Pay's terms also mention a 15% Saudi VAT, added on the student by default. Ask Msaaq whether it applies to you when you sell to students in Egypt.

Protecting video from downloading: Msaaq or Snatr?

Both have a watermark with the student's name and one device at a time. Snatr encrypts the video file with a key, and download tools fail, which has been measured. Msaaq says its videos are encrypted without saying how, and its one-device limit is an option you turn on.

In Snatr

  • Uploaded video is encrypted, and its key goes to the decryption module in the browser, not to the page.
  • Downloader extensions, "paste the link and download" sites and yt-dlp cannot download it.
  • A watermark moves across the video and shows the student's name.
  • A student is signed in on one device at a time: signing in on a new device signs the old one out.

In ⁨Msaaq⁩

  • The "Msaaq Stream" announcement says videos are "fully protected and encrypted".
  • The type of encryption is not published, and there is no measurement against download tools.
  • A watermark with the student's details over the video, to deter screen recording.
  • An option that locks access to one device, and an option that blocks copying text.
  • Video up to 2 GB per file, or a YouTube or Vimeo link.

The measurement on Snatr: without the key, the file plays as noise, with a similarity to the original of only 10.6 dB. With the key, it plays cleanly at 59.9 dB, and the higher the number, the closer the picture is to the original. Msaaq has not published any measurement like this.

An old article in Msaaq's help center mentions a setting called "Disable screen recording", without explaining how it works. On Snatr screen recording is not blocked, and the watermark deters, because the student's name shows on the recording.

On iPhone and iPad, video on Snatr plays normally and ready-made download tools still fail, but the protection there is somewhat weaker against a technically skilled person. Learn the details of Snatr's video protection.

Live classes: Zoom on Msaaq, or streaming inside your platform on Snatr?

Snatr has live streaming inside your own platform on the Pro plan (2,999 EGP a month), without Zoom or Google Meet. Msaaq adds live sessions to a course through Zoom, using your own account.

In Snatr

  • Students watch the lesson on your platform, with chat and hand raising.
  • You can give a student the mic to speak in front of their classmates.
  • Assistants can manage the mics, the chat and who gets in.
  • Class attendance is recorded automatically: present or late.
  • Class recording is a feature you switch on, and the recording is added to the students' group.

In ⁨Msaaq⁩

  • You connect your Zoom account through technical steps in the Zoom App Marketplace.
  • A free Zoom account ends the meeting after 40 minutes.
  • Large webinars need Zoom Pro and a Webinar subscription.
  • 50 live lessons at most, and a recurring lesson counts as one lesson.
  • Attending the meetings can be made a requirement for the certificate.

Connecting Zoom on Msaaq requires you to create an app in your Zoom account and copy its keys, according to the integration article in their help center (February 2026). On Snatr live classes are ready inside your platform, with no Zoom account and no setup steps.

Live streaming on Snatr is not encrypted like uploaded video. It has a watermark and a temporary link, and screen recording works.

In short: If you run live classes for groups every week, Snatr's Pro plan saves you from Zoom and its limits. Attendance in the class is recorded automatically in the same place.

Exams and certificates: who has what?

Both platforms have self-grading exams and certificates. Msaaq has a question bank that draws random questions, a gradebook and automatic certificates based on completion, grade or attendance. On Snatr the grade reaches the parent through their portal, and the certificate has a QR code for verification.

In Snatr

  • True or false, multiple choice and multiple answer, all graded automatically.
  • A written question you grade yourself, in group exams only.
  • The grade shows to the student, and to the parent through their portal.
  • A printable completion certificate, with a QR code that opens a verification page on your site.

In ⁨Msaaq⁩

  • A question bank, and each exam attempt draws random questions from it.
  • Automatic grading, essay questions you grade yourself, and submitted assignments.
  • A gradebook, letter grades, and retaking the exam if the student fails.
  • Automatic certificates based on completion, grade or attendance.
  • Badges and experience points for students.

If you teach professional courses and the student wants a certificate, both platforms issue certificates, and Msaaq can also tie them to a grade or attendance. If you teach a school curriculum, the grade the parent sees matters more to you than a certificate.

Does Msaaq work for a tutoring center, attendance and parents?

Partly. Msaaq has in-person courses with a place and dates, and attendance by scanning a QR code at the door. But its pages have no parent portal, and no branches and groups with fixed weekly schedules. Snatr has all of that.

In Snatr

  • Branches and groups with fixed schedules and seat limits, and an attendance register for every class.
  • Attendance by a printed QR card for each student, or by hand.
  • A parent portal on your website, where the parent sees their child's attendance and grades.
  • Assistants and front-desk staff with their own accounts, and 4 ready-made permission presets.
  • The center and your online courses in the same account.

In ⁨Msaaq⁩

  • In-person courses: a place on the map, start and end dates, and training days and hours.
  • Attendance for each session, scanning students' QR codes at the door, and exporting the register.
  • A student whose attendance is below the rate you set does not complete the course.
  • A parent portal is not mentioned on any page.
  • A team with 7 roles and custom roles, with separate permissions.

An in-person course on Msaaq is built for training with a start and an end, like a workshop. A center in Egypt, though, is groups that meet every week all year. And "groups" on Msaaq means something else: sorting students automatically by conditions, such as those who spent a certain amount.

On Snatr, a QR card carries a signed code that cannot be forged, and the assistant scans it at the door. But a card can be photographed and sent to someone else, so this is attendance by card, not by fingerprint. If you remove a permission from an assistant, it is removed that same moment.

In short: If you run a center and parents ask every week, the portal saves you replying to each one separately. See center management on Snatr.

A platform under your name: domain, design and mobile app

Both platforms give you a website under your name. A custom domain on Msaaq comes with every plan and you connect it yourself, while on Snatr it comes with the Pro plan and the Snatr team connects it. Msaaq builds a mobile app on request, and Snatr has no app.

In Snatr

  • A site in your name from day one.
  • A custom domain on the Pro plan only, and not during the trial.
  • The Snatr team buys the domain and connects it, and the first year is free with the plan.
  • 30 ready-made designs you edit without code, and your first two designs are free.

In ⁨Msaaq⁩

  • Your free link is on msaaq.net, and you can change it.
  • A custom domain on all plans, according to a help article from 2025.
  • You buy the domain and add its settings (DNS) yourself.
  • A page builder, colors and fonts, and custom code.
  • An Android and iPhone app under your name on request, cost not published.

On Snatr, once the domain is connected, the old link redirects to it automatically, and your Google ranking moves with it. On Msaaq, if you change the free link, the old link stops working immediately, so you have to send the new one to your students.

On Snatr you pick a ready design and change your text, colors and images, with no code and without building every page yourself. Look through Snatr's designs.

Sales and marketing tools: do you need them as a teacher in Egypt?

Msaaq has affiliate marketing, abandoned-cart messages, and email and SMS campaigns, built for selling through ads to a large audience. Coupons are on both platforms. A teacher in Egypt gets students through the center and parents, and that is what Snatr is built on.

In Snatr

  • Discount coupons as a percentage or a fixed amount, but no affiliate marketing.
  • No marketing messages by email or SMS.
  • No setup for several teachers with split earnings on the same platform.
  • Marketing is on you, and you share your platform link with your students yourself.

In ⁨Msaaq⁩

  • Coupons as a percentage or fixed amount, with an expiry date or a usage limit.
  • Affiliate marketing for your students and trainers.
  • Abandoned-cart messages, email campaigns and SMS bundles.
  • Integrations with Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, Google Analytics and Zapier.
  • Digital products, bundles and bookable consultation sessions.

Before choosing based on marketing tools, think about where your students come from. A Thanaweya Amma (Egypt's final secondary-school year) student usually comes from the center, the WhatsApp group and their parent, not from an ad pointing to a sales page. If that is your audience, EGP payments, attendance and a parent portal will matter to you more than marketing tools.

How do you get started on each platform, and how do language and support work?

On Snatr you sign up on your own and try it free for 7 days. On Msaaq, sign-up today is a demo request with their team, followed by an account manager who works with you. Both platforms are in Arabic, right to left.

In Snatr

  • You sign up at snatr.com and start a 7-day free trial.
  • Arabic right-to-left dashboard, with English too.
  • Your website can be in Arabic, English or both.
  • Arabic support on WhatsApp and by email at support@snatr.com.

In ⁨Msaaq⁩

  • Sign-up is a form to book a demo: the organization's name, its size, and what you will use Msaaq for.
  • The terms of use mention a 14-day trial period before subscribing.
  • A dedicated account manager, and a team that moves your data and trains your staff.
  • Arabic and English dashboard, and translation of your content into more than one language.
  • Support by chat in the help center, and by email.

Msaaq's migration team is built for a large organization: the account manager moves your data and trains your staff. For a teacher working alone, signing up yourself and trying the platform the same day is faster.

Msaaq's terms also say it does not support students directly, so any payment or login problem a student has is yours to answer.

How to move from Msaaq to Snatr

  1. 1

Try Snatr before you cancel anything

Open your Snatr account and try it free for 7 days. Keep your Msaaq subscription running until you are sure everything has moved over. Note that your Snatr website closes when the trial ends without a subscription.

  2. 2

Download your videos and export your orders from Msaaq

Msaaq's video library has a "Download" button for each uploaded video, and the orders page has an "Export" that reaches you by email. Download all of it before you cancel, because Msaaq's terms say video files may be deleted 3 months after the subscription ends.

  3. 3

Create your courses and price them in EGP

Create each course with its lessons and exams, and upload the videos to Snatr so they get encrypted. Remember that the online payment fee is added on the student on top of your price.

  4. 4

Register your current students without them paying again

Student accounts do not move between platforms on their own. For a student who already paid you, enroll them in the course by hand with no commission, and send them your new platform link.

  5. 5

If you run a center, set up branches and cards

Create your branches and groups with their schedules, and print a QR card for each student. Open an account for each assistant with the permissions you choose, and send each parent their login details for their portal.

  6. 6

Withdraw your Msaaq Pay balance, then cancel

Msaaq says you can withdraw your earnings even after your subscription ends, but to an account outside Saudi Arabia your balance must pass 1,000 dollars. If it is less than that, contact Msaaq support before you cancel. Subscription money is not refunded.

Snatr's limits, before you sign up

We list them up front so you decide knowing everything.

  • Fewer marketing tools: Snatr has no affiliate marketing, no email or SMS marketing and no abandoned-cart messages.
  • No app under your name: there is no mobile app under your name on Google Play or the App Store. Your platform works in the phone's browser.
  • No installments: the student cannot pay in installments with valU or banks.
  • One teacher per platform: there is no setup for several teachers with split earnings on the same platform.
  • No messages to parents: no WhatsApp or SMS messages are sent to the parent automatically. The parent follows along from their portal on your website.
  • Screen recording is not blocked: nor is a phone filming the screen. The watermark puts the student's name on the recording, which deters, but it is not proof.
  • Custom domain on the Pro plan only: and not during the trial.
  • Live classes on the Pro plan only: that is 2,999 EGP a month, and Starter and Basic have no live classes.
  • Changing plans goes through support: you do not change your plan yourself from the dashboard.
  • Payment in EGP: a student in Saudi Arabia can pay on Snatr with an international card in EGP, but there is no Mada or Tamara.

Frequently asked questions

Does the Saudi platform Msaaq work for a teacher in Egypt?

Its pages do not rule it out, but it is built for the Saudi market. Msaaq is a Saudi company from Riyadh, and says it transfers to banks outside Saudi Arabia. But the payment methods it lists are Mada, Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay and KNET, with no Fawry or Vodafone Cash, and the minimum withdrawal to an account in Egypt is 1,000 dollars. Snatr is built for the Egyptian teacher, and its prices are in EGP.

Does the Msaaq learning platform work for private tutoring?

The Msaaq learning platform is built more for training centers, companies and organizations, as its home page says. It has online and in-person courses, exams and certificates. But its pages have no weekly groups and no parent portal, and those are the core of private tutoring in Egypt. Snatr has both.

Msaaq for selling digital products: can I sell books and files on it?

Yes. Msaaq has digital products such as books, templates and files, bundles that combine courses and products at one price, and bookable consultation sessions. Snatr focuses on courses, exams, live classes and the center, and has no standalone digital products.

How much commission does Msaaq take from my sales?

Msaaq Pay has no monthly fee, but takes a percentage of each payment depending on the gateway and your plan, and the percentage is not published. On top of that there is a fixed fee of 1 riyal or 30 cents per transaction. On Snatr nothing is deducted from your price, and the fee is added on the student.

Is there a free trial on Msaaq and on Snatr?

Msaaq's terms of use mention a 14-day trial period, but its sign-up page today is a demo request with their team, so ask them whether the trial is still available. Snatr has a 7-day free trial that you start yourself, and your website closes when it ends without a subscription.

Do I need to verify my account to receive money on Msaaq?

Yes. To turn on Msaaq Pay you must verify your academy with a photo of your ID and your bank account details, the review takes 3 to 5 business days, and you must already have courses on the platform. On Snatr the student pays on your platform, the money goes into your wallet, and you do not need to open an account with a payment company.

Is there a mobile app for Msaaq or Snatr?

Msaaq says it builds an Android and iPhone app under your name on request, and its cost is not written anywhere. Snatr has no app under your name on Google Play or the App Store, and the student opens your platform in the phone's browser.

What is the most important thing Msaaq has that Snatr does not?

Certificates tied to a grade or attendance, a question bank, affiliate marketing, and email and SMS campaigns. Also Tamara installments, an app on request, a dedicated account manager, and help with the National Center license in Saudi Arabia. In return, Snatr has published prices in EGP, Fawry and wallet payments, withdrawals to Vodafone Cash, a parent portal and live classes inside your platform.

If my students go over my Snatr plan, will registration close?

No, registration does not close. Each extra student is charged at your plan's extra-student price: 15 EGP on Starter, 10 EGP on Basic and 7 EGP on Pro.

If my students are in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf, Snatr or Msaaq?

Snatr is built for a teacher whose students are mostly in Egypt: a student in Egypt pays with Fawry, mobile wallets or cards, and a student abroad pays with an international card that their bank converts. Msaaq accepts Mada, Apple Pay and Tamara and Tabby installments, and helps with the National eLearning Center license. Snatr does not charge through Mada or in riyals.
