Snatr vs Soohola: a full comparison for teachers and tutoring centers in Egypt (2026)
Snatr is the better choice for a teacher or a center owner in Egypt whose lessons are their capital. Video is encrypted with the student's name on it, students pay with Fawry or mobile wallets and the course opens on its own, attendance is by QR card, and you receive your full price. Soohola (soohola.com) is an Egyptian platform with a teacher marketplace and a platform under your name, from 99 EGP a month, and its sales commission is not published.

Soohola
An Egyptian education platform with a marketplace that shows teachers to students and parents, plus a separate platform under the teacher's name on a subscription from 0 to 999 EGP a month.
Soohola is an Egyptian education platform at soohola.com, and it has two parts. The first is a marketplace that shows teachers, courses, live classes and books to students and parents. The second is called "your separate platform", a platform under your name and logo that you pay a subscription for.
The company is Egyptian: its pages carry a commercial registration number and a tax number, its terms are governed by Egyptian law, and its prices are in EGP. The Soohola on this page is soohola.com, not any other app with a similar name.
Soohola is focused on price and the marketplace. It has a free plan for 5 students, and the first paid plan is 99 EGP a month for up to 300 students. A student can find you in the marketplace by subject and grade and book a class with you. It also has certificates, AI-generated questions, a mobile app for your platform at 5,000 EGP, and accounts for centers, academies and schools.
What Soohola's pages do not explain in detail is video protection. They say the video is "protected" and shown in a dedicated player, without mentioning file encryption or a watermark with the student's name. Payment by manual transfer needs a receipt that you check yourself before the student gets into the course.
Snatr, at snatr.com, also builds you a platform under your name, but without a marketplace. Its advantages are encrypted video, Fawry and wallet payments that unlock the course automatically, and center attendance by QR card. If you are comparing Snatr with other platforms, see all Snatr comparisons.
Price and money
How much is Soohola, and what does the subscription cover on Soohola and Snatr?
Soohola has a free plan for 5 students, and a 99 EGP plan for 300 students and 8 courses, and its sales commission is not published. Snatr starts at 999 EGP for 100 students, with no limit on courses and lessons, and you receive your full price.

Soohola's prices are from its pricing page on 7 October 2026. Soohola's figure in the last row is before its commission and card fees, because neither is published. On Snatr the student pays the platform fee on top of the 300 EGP, so if you want them to pay exactly 300, set your price a little lower.
If you pay Soohola a year upfront you save 20%: the Starter plan is 950.4 EGP a year. There is also a "lifetime platform" you pay for once, at the price of 3 years minus 3%. The lifetime Starter plan is 2,765.66 EGP, and the lifetime Enterprise plan is 27,908.06 EGP. Snatr has no one-time payment like this.
Live classes on Soohola are counted by the number of sessions in the month, and each recurring session counts as a class. So 3 groups with two classes a week need about 24 classes, which fits in the Starter plan. With 4 groups you need about 32 classes, which means the Growth plan. Subscriptions to outside streaming services such as Zoom are not included in the plan.
The student count on Soohola is the number of accounts on your platform, and a student is not counted again for each course. Its pages do not say what happens if you exceed the limit, other than that you can upgrade at any time.
On Snatr, if your students exceed the plan, enrollment does not stop, and each extra student is charged once at the extra student price. A student who paid you cash at the center is enrolled manually by you with no commission. See Snatr's pricing in detail.
In short: Before you compare subscriptions, ask Soohola about its sales commission and card fees. On Snatr the subscription buys encrypted video with the student's name on it, Fawry and wallet payments that unlock the course automatically, and QR card attendance.
Does Soohola accept payment in EGP, Fawry and mobile wallets?
In EGP, yes. On Soohola students pay by card or Apple Pay, or by manual transfer and upload a photo of the receipt. Fawry is not mentioned on its pages. On Snatr, students pay by card, Fawry or wallets, and the course unlocks automatically.
In Snatr
✓Students pay in EGP by card, Visa and Mastercard.
✓Fawry: the student gets a code and pays it at any Fawry outlet within 24 hours.
✓Mobile wallets such as Vodafone Cash, and the course unlocks for the student automatically after payment.
✓The money goes into your wallet, and becomes available to withdraw after a safety period that is currently 7 days.
✓You withdraw to Vodafone Cash, InstaPay or a bank, and the minimum withdrawal is currently 100 EGP.
In Soohola
Prices are in EGP, and the student chooses card, Apple Pay or the available transfer method.
Manual transfer: the student transfers to your number and uploads the receipt, and you check it and accept the order.
Card payments are confirmed automatically depending on the gateway, and the gateway's name and fees are not stated.
Fawry is not mentioned, and wallets are not named on its pages.
The commission is set in your account or by commercial agreement, and the minimum withdrawal is 500 EGP.
The advantage of manual transfer on Soohola is that the money reaches your own account right away. The downside is that each payment needs checking by you or a staff member, and the student waits until you accept it. If you have 100 students transferring every month, that is 100 checks.
Soohola's teacher agreement says earnings show as pending, then available, then withdrawable. It says a settlement period and announced fees may apply. The withdrawal methods themselves are not stated on its public pages.
On Snatr you do not need to open an account with any payment company, or check receipts. A student who paid you cash is enrolled manually by you with no commission.
Video and protection
Protecting video from downloading: Soohola or Snatr?
Snatr encrypts the video file itself, so download tools fail, and this is measured. Soohola says the video is "protected" and shown in a dedicated player, but its pages do not mention encryption or a watermark with the student's name.
In Snatr
✓Uploaded video is encrypted, and its key goes to the browser's decryption module, not to the page.
✓Downloader extensions, "paste the link and download" sites and yt-dlp cannot download it.
✓A watermark that moves across the video and shows the student's name.
✓A student is signed in on one device at a time: signing in on a new device signs the old one out.
In Soohola
Protected videos and books are shown in a dedicated player or reader inside the platform.
A protected link or file does not work from another account.
The system may block the same account playing at the same time without permission.
File links are signed, and paid books are read in a secure reader.
Video file encryption, or a watermark with the student's name: not stated.
The measurement on Snatr: without the key, the file comes out as noise, with a similarity to the original of only 10.6 dB. With the key it comes out intact at 59.9 dB, and the higher the number, the closer the picture is to the original. Soohola has not published any measurement like this.
On iPhone and iPad, video on Snatr plays normally, and ready-made download tools fail there too. But the protection on them is somewhat weaker against a technically skilled person. This protection covers video you upload to Snatr: a YouTube link in a lesson stays an ordinary YouTube video.
Screen recording is not blocked on Snatr, nor is a phone filming the screen. The watermark deters, because the student's name shows on the recording, but it is not proof. Learn the details of video protection on Snatr.
In short: Before you choose any platform, ask it one question: is the video file itself encrypted, or is only the link protected?
Live classes and exams
Live classes and exams on Soohola and Snatr: what is the difference?
Both platforms have live classes inside the platform, auto-graded exams and certificates anyone can verify. On Soohola the number of classes a month is limited by the plan, and it has AI-generated questions. On Snatr, class attendance is recorded automatically.
In Snatr
✓Live classes inside your platform, with chat and hand raising, and you can give a student the mic.
✓Class attendance is recorded automatically: present or late.
✓Assistants can manage the mics, the chat and who gets in.
✓Auto-graded exams and homework, with the grade shown to the student and the parent.
✓A printable completion certificate with a QR check, but no AI-generated questions.
In Soohola
The class runs on "Soohola Meeting", or Meet, Zoom or Teams, or another link.
Classes a month: 30 on Starter, 60 on Growth and 150 on Professional.
Subscriptions to outside streaming services such as Zoom are not included in the plan.
Auto-graded exams, with essay questions graded by the teacher.
Verifiable certificates, and AI-generated questions from a topic or PDF on paid plans.
Live classes on Snatr are on the Pro plan, and they are not counted per month. Recording a class is a feature you switch on, and when it runs, the recording is added to the student group.
Live streaming on Snatr is not encrypted like uploaded video. It carries a watermark and a temporary link, and screen recording works.
AI questions from a PDF file are on Soohola and not on Snatr, and both platforms have certificates. For the school curriculum, the grade the parent sees usually matters more than a certificate, and on Snatr it reaches them in their portal.
Centers and parents
You run a center? Attendance, groups and parents on Soohola and Snatr
Both platforms have groups, attendance, parents and staff with permissions. Snatr has QR card attendance and a parent portal on your website. Soohola sends WhatsApp alerts to parents, and splits earnings between the center and its teachers.
In Snatr
✓Branches and groups with schedules and seat limits, and an attendance register for each session.
✓Attendance by a printed QR card for each student, or manually from the register.
✓A parent portal on your website, where the parent sees their child's attendance and grades.
✓Assistants with their own accounts, 4 permission presets, and a permission is removed instantly.
✓No WhatsApp messages to parents, and no multiple teachers with split earnings.
In Soohola
Groups with a seat limit, and when one is full the student joins a waiting list.
Attendance as present, absent or late from the session log, and a card is not mentioned.
The parent has their own account, follows more than one child, and gets WhatsApp and email alerts.
Staff with permissions, and a log of who did what.
A center account with teachers on earnings percentages, salaries and branches.
A Snatr QR card carries a signed code that cannot be forged, and an assistant scans it at the door. But the card can be photographed and sent to someone else, so this is attendance by card, not by fingerprint.
Linking a parent on Soohola needs the student's approval, and each child must have their own student account. On Snatr you create the parent's account and give them the password, and they change it afterwards.
The four assistant presets on Snatr are front desk, branch supervisor, academic assistant and full access. If you remove a permission from an assistant, it is removed at that moment.
In short: A QR card at the center's door on Snatr records the student's attendance as soon as the assistant scans it, and the parent sees their child's attendance and grades from their portal on your site. See center management on Snatr.

Your platform, your name
Your own platform, custom domain and design: Soohola or Snatr?
Both give you a platform under your name and logo on a subdomain. Connecting your domain on Soohola is a request to support on every plan, and it is paid separately. On Snatr the domain comes with Pro, and the Snatr team buys it and connects it.
In Snatr
✓A site in your name from day one.
✓A custom domain on Pro only, with the first year free, and not available during the trial.
✓Once the domain is connected, the old link redirects to it automatically, along with your Google ranking.
✓30 ready-made designs where you edit the colors, text and images without code, and your first two designs are free.
✓Your website can be in Arabic, English or both.
In Soohola
A free subdomain with your platform's name on Soohola.
Connecting a domain you own on request to support, on every plan including the free one.
Buying or renewing the domain at a separate cost.
You choose a template, colors, logo and footer, and the number of templates is not stated.
There is a button that switches between Arabic and English.
On Snatr you do not need to buy a domain or set it up yourself. Browse Snatr's designs before you choose. Every design has a full preview.
The Soohola marketplace and app: what is the difference?
Soohola has a marketplace where students search for a teacher by subject and grade, and book a class or join a course. Snatr has no marketplace: your platform is under your name, and students reach it through your own marketing.
In Snatr
✓No marketplace that shows you to new students, and marketing is up to you.
✓No mobile app under your name, and students open your platform in the phone's browser.
✓Your students reach you through the link you share at the center and in groups.
In Soohola
A marketplace with teacher profiles showing ratings, prices and schedules, where students book.
Booked one-to-one classes, groups, courses, and a library of books and study notes.
A Soohola app for students on the App Store.
An Android or iPhone app for your platform at 5,000 EGP per app, paid once.
A directory of approved filming studios across Egypt's governorates.
A Soohola video on YouTube in August 2026 says signing up as a teacher in the marketplace is free for the first 1000 teachers. Their teacher agreement says Soohola's commission on sales is set in your account or by commercial agreement.
Think about your students before you choose based on the marketplace. If you are well known in your area and your students come from the center and WhatsApp groups, the marketplace will not make much difference. On Snatr those students reach a site under your own name, not a page inside a marketplace next to other teachers.
How to move from Soohola to Snatr
1
Try Snatr before you close anything
Open your Snatr account and use the 7-day free trial. Keep your Soohola platform running until you are sure everything has moved. Note that your Snatr website closes when the trial ends without a subscription.
2
Ask for a copy of your data
Soohola's privacy policy says you can request a copy of your data. Ask for a list of your students and their payments, and gather the original copies of your videos and files on your computer.
3
Build your courses and upload the videos
Create each course with its lessons and exams, and set its price in EGP. Upload the videos to Snatr so they are encrypted. Remember that Snatr's fee is added on top of your price for the student.
4
Enroll your current students without them paying again
A student who already paid you can be enrolled in the course manually from the dashboard, with no commission. Then send them the link to your new platform on WhatsApp.
5
If you run a center, set up branches and cards
Create your branches and groups with their schedules, and print a QR card for each student. Open an account for each assistant with the permissions you choose, and an account for each parent on their portal.
6
Decide what to do with Soohola
If your Soohola subscription is monthly, cancel it once your students start using your new platform. If you want to stay visible in the Soohola marketplace for new students, you can, but your students will deal with two links.

Frequently asked questions
Snatr or Soohola: which is better for a teacher in Egypt?
Snatr is better for a teacher in Egypt who sells lessons or runs a center. Video is encrypted with the student's name on it, students pay with Fawry and mobile wallets and the course opens on its own, attendance is by QR card with a parent portal, and you receive your full price. Soohola's subscription starts at 99 EGP and its commission is not published, and it has a marketplace and an app for your platform at 5,000 EGP. Snatr starts at 999 EGP.
Soohola platform or Snatr?
The main difference is protection and payment. Snatr encrypts video and puts the student's name on it, its Fawry and wallet payments are confirmed automatically with no receipts, and it has QR card attendance for the center. Soohola's subscription starts at 99 EGP and its commission is not published, and it has a free plan, a marketplace, AI-generated questions and WhatsApp alerts for parents.
Is Soohola free?
There is a permanent free plan, but it is limited: 5 students, one course with 5 lessons, one live class a month and 0.5 GB of storage. Soohola itself describes it as a version for trying the platform before real work. The first paid plan is 99 EGP a month for up to 300 students.
Does Soohola take a commission on my sales?
The rate is not published. Soohola's teacher agreement says the actual commission is set in your account or in a commercial agreement, and that a settlement period and announced fees may apply. Their minimum withdrawal is 500 EGP. On Snatr you get your price in full, and the platform fee is added on top of your price for the student.
What is the lifetime platform on Soohola?
It is a way to pay once instead of a subscription. Its price is 3 years at the annual rate, minus 3%. The lifetime Starter plan is 2,765.66 EGP, and the lifetime Enterprise plan is 27,908.06 EGP, according to their pricing page in October 2026. Snatr has no one-time payment like this.
Does Soohola have a mobile app?
Yes. There is a Soohola app for students on the App Store. For your separate platform you can order an Android or iPhone app at 5,000 EGP per app, as a one-time setup and publishing fee, on paid plans only. Snatr has no app under your name, and students open your platform in the phone's browser.
Is Soohola an Egyptian platform?
Yes. Soohola's pages carry a commercial registration number and a tax number, its terms are governed by Egyptian law, and its prices are in EGP. The Soohola on this page is soohola.com, not any other app with a similar name.
If my students exceed my Snatr plan, will enrollment close?
No, enrollment does not close. Each extra student is charged once at your plan's extra student price: 15 EGP on Starter, 10 EGP on Basic and 7 EGP on Pro. There is a free 7-day trial before you pay, and the website closes after it without a subscription.
Can I use Soohola and Snatr together?
You can. You could stay visible in the Soohola marketplace so new students find you, and run your courses and your center on Snatr. But watch for two things: sales in the Soohola marketplace carry its commission under their teacher agreement, and your students may get confused between two links.
What does Soohola have that Snatr does not?
The marketplace that shows you to new students, the free plan and the app for your platform. Also AI-generated questions, WhatsApp alerts for parents, and multiple teachers on earnings percentages at a center. Plus the one-time lifetime payment, and connecting your own domain on every plan.
