What is the Manara education platform, and who is it for?

Manara (Manâra) is an Arabic learning management and education institution management system, at manaraedu.com. It describes itself as built for schools, universities, training centers and institutes in Iraq and the Gulf. The institution runs it under its own name, logo and domain.

Manara says it was "made in Iraq", and the footer of its site lists Baghdad, Erbil and Dubai. Access is by invitation: you request a demo, and their team sets up each institution itself on a call. There is no self sign-up and no published pricing.

Manara focuses on running an education institution. It tracks fees paid in full or in installments, and issues certificates with a code anyone can verify on a public page. It also has an AI tutor that says which lesson an answer comes from, a student app on iOS and Android, and an alert for students who are starting to struggle.

More than one organization is called "Manara". This comparison is only about the Manara at manaraedu.com, and every fact about Manara here comes from its own pages in October 2026.

Snatr, at snatr.com, is made for a different case: a teacher or a tutoring center in Egypt selling in EGP, with students online and students in the center, who wants to manage them from one place. If you are comparing Snatr with other platforms, see all Snatr comparisons.

Does Manara accept payment in EGP, Fawry and wallets?

No. Manara's help center says the student pays by bank transfer in Iraqi dinars and uploads a photo of the receipt, and there is no card payment. On Snatr the student pays online in EGP, by card, Fawry or mobile wallets.

In Snatr

  • The student pays in EGP by card, Visa or Mastercard.
  • Fawry: the student gets a code and pays it at any Fawry outlet within 24 hours.
  • Mobile wallets such as Vodafone Cash.
  • Payment is confirmed automatically, and the course opens for the student without you reviewing anything.
  • You withdraw your money to Vodafone Cash, InstaPay or your bank account.

In ⁨Manara⁩

  • The student sends the amount by bank transfer in Iraqi dinars.
  • They upload a photo of the receipt on the billing page in the app.
  • The academy admin reviews the receipt and confirms it by hand.
  • No card payment, and no in-app purchase through Apple or Google.
  • EGP, Fawry and Egyptian wallets are not mentioned on any page.

That is what the "Privacy and your data" page in Manara's help center says, as of October 2026. The page also says there are no automatic refunds; refunds are handled directly between the student and the academy. The platform stores only the receipt and the confirmation, not card or account numbers.

So if you have 100 students paying every month, you will review 100 receipt photos a month and confirm each one by hand. On Snatr the money goes into your wallet automatically and becomes available to withdraw after a holding period, currently 7 days. The minimum withdrawal is currently 100 EGP.

If a student paid you cash at the center, you enroll them in the course manually on Snatr, with no commission at all.

How much does Manara cost? And what does Snatr cost you in EGP?

Manara does not publish its prices; the price is set after you request a demo, depending on the size of your institution. Snatr's prices are published in EGP: from 999 EGP a month for 100 students, with a free 7-day trial.

In Snatr

  • Starter: 999 EGP a month, for 100 students and 50 GB, and an extra student costs 15 EGP.
  • Basic: 1,999 EGP, for 200 students and 150 GB, and an extra student costs 10 EGP.
  • Pro: 2,999 EGP, for 400 students and 300 GB, an extra student costs 7 EGP, plus live classes and a custom domain.
  • Your price reaches you in full, and the platform fee is added for the student on top of your price.
  • If your students exceed the plan, registration does not stop.

In ⁨Manara⁩

  • No prices on the site; pricing is "through the sales team".
  • The price depends on the size of the institution, after you request a demo.
  • The AI tutor is a paid add-on, charged by usage.
  • Commission on payments or a free trial: not stated.

Example: a teacher with 100 students paying 300 EGP a month

On Snatr, 29,001 EGP of 30,000 reaches you, with no receipts to review

On Snatr the student pays the platform fee on top of the 300 EGP, so if you want them to pay exactly 300, set your price a little lower. 100 receipts means each student pays once a month by bank transfer. Manara's prices are not published on its site as of October 2026, so the calculation does not guess a figure.

This is from Manara's FAQ page and its summary for AI tools (llms.txt), as of October 2026. So you cannot know Manara's cost before you talk to them. Ask them about 4 things: the subscription, the setup cost if there is one, the contract length, and the price of the AI tutor.

Manara's column in the calculation has no figures, because their figures are not published, and the calculation does not guess one. But there is a clear difference in your daily work: every payment on Manara is a receipt that has to be reviewed by hand.

The plan table shows what reaches you on Snatr if you have 100, 200 or 400 students. These figures are from October 2026.

In short: See Snatr's pricing in detail, and what each plan includes.

Tracking fees and installments: what does each platform have?

Manara tracks fees paid in full or in installments, and lists who still owes money. Snatr takes online payments with the course opening automatically, and records cash with no commission, but it has no installments and no list of who still owes money.

In Snatr

  • The student pays for the course online, and payment is confirmed automatically.
  • A student who paid cash is enrolled in the course manually, with no commission.
  • No splitting fees into installments, and no list of students with a balance due.
  • No installments through valU or banks.

In ⁨Manara⁩

  • Tracks every tuition payment, in full or in installments.
  • You set prices and discounts, and issue receipts.
  • A list of who still owes money, with reminders to them.
  • Paid, remaining and payment rate for each student.
  • Revenue per course and per instructor.

This is from Manara's home page and its FAQ, as of October 2026. The screenshots on their page show amounts in Iraqi dinars.

The difference is in the way of working itself. Manara is made for a school or institute collecting large term fees in installments. Snatr is made for a teacher selling a course or a group, where the student pays for it online and it opens for them right away.

Protecting video from downloads: Manara or Snatr?

Snatr encrypts the video you upload, so the well-known download tools fail, and that is measured. Manara writes "streamed video", and does not mention encryption, a watermark or download blocking on any page.

In Snatr

  • Uploaded video is encrypted, and its key goes to the browser's decryption module, not to the page.
  • Downloader extensions, "paste your link and download" sites and yt-dlp cannot download it.
  • A watermark with the student's name moves across the video.
  • A student is signed in on one device at a time: signing in on a new device signs the old one out.

In ⁨Manara⁩

  • Streamed video and compressed PDF files inside the course.
  • It reads Arabic text from scanned pages, so you can search inside them.
  • Its analytics track whether a student is not finishing the videos.
  • Video encryption or download blocking: not stated.
  • A watermark with the student's name: not stated.

The measurement on Snatr: without the key the file comes out as noise, with a similarity to the original of only 10.6 dB. With the key it plays cleanly at 59.9 dB, and the higher the number, the closer the picture is to the original. Manara has not published any measurement like this.

On iPhone and iPad, video on Snatr plays normally, and ready-made download tools fail there too. But the protection there is somewhat weaker against someone technically skilled. This protection is for the video you upload; a YouTube link in a lesson stays a regular YouTube video.

Screen recording is not blocked on Snatr, and neither is a phone filming the screen. The watermark deters, because the student's name shows on the recording, but it is not proof. Learn how video protection works on Snatr.

In short: If your teaching is your capital, ask Manara directly: is the video encrypted? Can a tool like yt-dlp download it or not?

Does Manara have live classes?

Live streaming is not mentioned in Manara's features or in its help center. Snatr has live streaming from inside your platform on the Pro plan (2,999 EGP a month), without Zoom or Google Meet, and attendance is recorded automatically.

In Snatr

  • Students watch your class on your platform, under your name, with chat and raised hands.
  • You can give a student the mic to speak in front of classmates.
  • Assistants can moderate the mics, the chat and who gets in.
  • Attendance is recorded automatically: present or late.
  • Class recording is a feature that gets switched on, and the recording is added to the student group.

In ⁨Manara⁩

  • The feature list has courses, quizzes, certificates and attendance, but no live streaming.
  • The help center has 14 articles, and not one is about live streaming.
  • Zoom or Google Meet integration: not stated.

In the app screenshot on Manara's home page, "Live today · 6:00 PM" appears next to a lesson, with no explanation on any page. So if live classes matter to you, ask them how they work before you sign.

Live streaming on Snatr is not encrypted like uploaded video. It has a watermark and a temporary link, and screen recording works.

Exams, certificates and the AI tutor: who has what?

Both platforms have self-grading exams and certificates with a verification code. Manara also has a weighted gradebook and an AI tutor. Snatr has no AI, but the grade reaches the parent.

In Snatr

  • True or false, multiple choice and multiple answer, all graded automatically.
  • A written question you grade yourself, in group exams only.
  • The grade shows to the student, and to the parent from their portal.
  • A printable completion certificate with a QR code that opens a verification page on your site, and no AI-generated questions.

In ⁨Manara⁩

  • Multiple choice, multiple answer and true or false, with a time limit and a number of attempts.
  • A gradebook with categories and weights; assignments are entered by hand, and you export grades to a file that opens in Excel.
  • A certificate with your logo and a code, which anyone can verify on a public page.
  • An AI tutor that answers in Arabic and says which lesson the answer comes from, as a paid add-on.
  • The student can photograph a problem with their phone and ask about it.

Manara's AI tutor lives inside the student app and is charged by usage. Manara itself says it can make mistakes, and that the student should check the answer against the course material.

If you teach professional courses and the student needs a certificate, both platforms issue certificates anyone can verify. If you teach a school curriculum in Egypt, the grade the parent sees probably matters more than a certificate.

I run a tutoring center: attendance, groups and parents on Manara and Snatr

Both platforms have QR attendance. Snatr also has branches, a printed QR card for each student, and a parent portal where the parent sees their child's attendance and grades. Manara has groups and WhatsApp messages; branches and a parent portal are not mentioned.

In Snatr

  • Branches and groups with schedules and a number of seats, and an attendance register for every session.
  • A printed QR card for each student that the assistant scans at the door, or attendance by hand.
  • A parent portal on your site, where the parent sees their child's attendance and grades.
  • Assistants and front-desk staff with their own accounts, and 4 ready-made permission presets.
  • The attendance rate for each group and each branch.

In ⁨Manara⁩

  • A group for each cohort, with its schedule, instructor and students.
  • Attendance by hand, or a QR code you show on screen and the student scans with the app.
  • An alert for struggling students, based on attendance, grades and low activity.
  • WhatsApp messages to students, using your own WhatsApp Business key.
  • Branches and a parent portal: not stated.

Manara's features page says attendance is "linked to every record and parent", without explaining what the parent sees or where. So if parents matter in your work, ask them about this part.

A QR card on Snatr carries a signed code that cannot be forged. But the card can be photographed and sent to someone else, so this is attendance by card, not by fingerprint.

WhatsApp messages on Manara need an account with a WhatsApp Business provider, and you put its key in the settings. Snatr sends no WhatsApp or SMS messages automatically, and the parent follows along from their portal.

The four assistant presets on Snatr are front desk, branch supervisor, academic assistant and full access. If you remove a permission from an assistant, it is removed at that moment.

In short: See center management on Snatr.

The parent portal on a teacher's Snatr site: a greeting to the parent, a card for their child showing their grade, an attendance rate of 92% and counts of attendance, lateness and absence, and a menu with attendance, grades and payments

A platform under your name: domain, app and design

Both platforms give you a platform under your name and a custom domain. Manara has a mobile app for the student with your logo, and Snatr does not. Snatr has 30 ready-made site designs, and its team connects the domain for you.

In Snatr

  • A site in your name from day one.
  • A custom domain is on the Pro plan only, and not available during the trial.
  • The Snatr team buys and connects the domain, and the first year is free with the plan.
  • 30 ready-made designs you edit without code, and the first two are free.
  • No mobile app: the student opens your platform in the phone's browser.

In ⁨Manara⁩

  • An address from the platform at first, then your own domain such as learn.youracademy.com.
  • You add the connection setting (a DNS record) yourself at the company you bought the domain from.
  • A student app on iOS and Android with your logo and colors.
  • The student signs in from the app, according to the help center.
  • Site appearance: logo, colors and name; ready-made designs are not mentioned.

Manara says your students will never see its name, and the app and certificates carry your logo. If you want the app under your own name on Google Play and the App Store, ask them, because their pages do not make this point clear.

On Snatr, once your domain is connected, the old link redirects to it automatically, along with your Google ranking. Browse Snatr's designs.

Is Manara in Arabic? And is it made for Iraq and the Gulf or for Egypt?

Yes, Manara is in right-to-left Arabic, with English too. But it is made for institutions in Iraq and the Gulf, and Egypt is not mentioned on any page. Snatr is made for the teacher and the center in Egypt, with EGP and Egyptian payment methods.

In Snatr

  • A right-to-left Arabic dashboard, with English as well.
  • Your site can be in Arabic, English or both.
  • Support in Arabic on WhatsApp and email.
  • You sign up and start on your own, with a free 7-day trial.

In ⁨Manara⁩

  • Arabic first, right to left, with English too.
  • It says it was "made in Iraq", and the footer of its site lists Baghdad, Erbil and Dubai.
  • A help center with 14 articles in Arabic and English.
  • Access is by invitation, and they say they reply to a demo request within one business day.

Payment on Manara runs on the Iraqi bank transfer system, and the example phone numbers in the help center start with Iraq's country code (+964). So if most of your students are in Egypt, ask Manara before anything else: how will my students pay me?

Snatr's limits, before you sign up

We list them up front so you decide knowing everything.

  • No installment tracking: Snatr cannot split fees into installments, has no list of students with a balance due, and has no installments through valU or banks.
  • No AI: no AI-generated questions or AI tutor.
  • No mobile app: no app under your name on Google Play or the App Store. Your platform runs in the phone's browser.
  • No automatic WhatsApp messages: no WhatsApp or SMS messages are sent to the student or the parent automatically. The parent follows along from their portal on your site.
  • One teacher per platform: no multiple teachers with split earnings on the same platform.
  • Screen recording is not blocked: and neither is a phone filming the screen. The watermark puts the student's name on the recording, which deters, but it is not proof.
  • Custom domain on Pro only: and it is not available during the trial.
  • Live classes on the Pro plan only: that is 2,999 EGP a month, and Starter and Basic have no live classes.
  • Made for Egypt: online payment on Snatr is in Egyptian pounds only. A student abroad pays with an international card and their bank converts the amount, but there is no charging in dinars or riyals.
  • Plan changes go through support: you do not change your plan yourself from the dashboard.
