Snatr vs Smart Center: a comparison for teachers and tutoring centers in Egypt (2026)

These prices are from the pricing section of Smart Center's website on 7 October 2026. Their payment page has a "referral code" field that gives you a discount if someone referred you, and it says "money-back guarantee" with no written terms.

By their figures, the one-time purchase works out cheaper than monthly from the second year. The first two years cost 12,000 EGP monthly, and 9,500 EGP with the purchase. But the purchase needs 8,000 EGP upfront.

An example from Snatr: if you have 120 students enrolled in courses or groups on the Starter plan, you pay for 20 extra students at 15 EGP, which is 300 EGP once, and the seats stay yours. The number of students on a Smart Center subscription is not written on their website, so ask them if your center is large.

On Snatr you get your price in full. The online payment fee is added on top of your price for the student, and a student who paid you cash is enrolled manually with no commission. See Snatr's pricing in detail.

That phrase is written on Smart Center's website as a feature, and no page explains it. So if you want your students to pay online, ask before you subscribe: whose account does the money go to? How does it reach me? And what are the fees?

On Snatr, money becomes available to withdraw after a safety period that is currently 7 days, and the minimum withdrawal is currently 100 EGP. You do not need to open an account with any payment company.

But Snatr has no accounts for the center itself. It does not track monthly group fees, late payers or center expenses, and Smart Center has these.

At Snatr we measured the protection. Without the key, the file comes out as noise, with a similarity to the original of only 10.6 dB. With the key it comes out intact at 59.9 dB, and the higher the number, the closer the picture is to the original.

Screen recording is not blocked on Snatr, nor is a phone filming the screen. The watermark deters, because the student's name shows on the recording, but it is not proof. On iPhone and iPad the video plays normally, but the protection on them is somewhat weaker against a technically skilled person.

If you are used to selling printed codes at the center, Snatr has codes you print as cards and sell for cash; a code opens a course or group for a number of months or sessions, or adds credit to the student's balance. Top-student and combined level reports are useful for a center that announces its top students or sends them to parents. Snatr shows each student's grade to them and their parent, and has no ready-made report ranking the top students.

Recording a live class on Snatr is a feature you switch on, and when it runs, the recording is added to the student group. Live streaming is not encrypted like uploaded video: it carries a watermark and a temporary link, and screen recording works.

Payment status at the door is a Smart Center feature, and it is not in Snatr. The secretary knows whether a student has paid as they walk in, without going back to a ledger.

On Snatr, the QR card carries a signed code that cannot be forged, and an assistant scans it from the dashboard on a phone or a computer. But the card can be photographed and sent to someone else, so this is attendance by card, not by fingerprint. Scanning needs an internet connection.

The four assistant presets are front desk, branch supervisor, academic assistant and full access. If you remove a permission from an assistant, it is removed at that moment, without them having to sign out and back in.

If you teach in more than one place, Snatr brings your branches together in one account, and each branch has its own groups and registers. Smart Center does not mention branches on its website, so ask them if you have more than one branch.

A notification that arrives on its own is a Smart Center feature. Many parents expect a message after class, and not all of them will open a portal.

On Snatr, the advantage is that the parent sees the center and online teaching together. Whether their child attended class at the branch or joined the live class from home, both are on the same page. The portal is view-only, and no one can see any child but their own.

Ask Smart Center before you subscribe: what exactly are these six channels? Do they include WhatsApp or SMS? And who pays for the messages?

On Snatr, a custom domain is not available during the trial. Once it is connected, the old link redirects to it automatically, along with your Google ranking.

On Snatr, your website closes when the trial ends without a subscription. Changing plans after that goes through support.
