Snatr vs Daftra: a comparison for teachers and tutoring center owners in Egypt (2026)
For a teacher or a center owner in Egypt, Snatr is the better choice. It has the center with its branches, attendance and a parent portal, alongside courses, encrypted video and Fawry and wallet payments, in one subscription from 999 EGP a month. Daftra is accounting and business management software, and its pages mention no courses or video, so to teach online you would need a second platform beside it.

Daftra
An Arabic cloud accounting and business management program (ERP), priced in EGP in Egypt, with a page for managing educational centers: student files, attendance, invoices and instalments. Its pages mention no online courses or video.
Daftra is a cloud program for business management and accounting, or ERP as it describes itself. Its website is daftra.com, and it says it serves more than 50 lines of business. It is made by Izam Software Solutions, which has offices in Egypt and the United States, and its prices in Egypt are in EGP.
Educational centers are one of those lines of business, with a page called "Educational center management software". It covers student files, courses with their schedules, rooms and cost, and student attendance by typing the name or scanning a barcode. It also covers invoices, collection by monthly subscription or instalments, and alerts to students by text message and email.
Daftra is built around money. It has a chart of accounts, daily journal entries and profit and loss reports, stock for books and supplies, and staff payroll and time attendance. It also has Android and iPhone apps, and support 24 hours a day by phone, WhatsApp and email.
What is missing from Daftra's pages is the teaching itself. There is no mention of video courses, live classes or online exams. It has an online store for products and services, but it is not built for selling video lessons. So Daftra runs the center's accounts, but does not sell its lessons.
Snatr, at snatr.com, is an education platform for Egyptian teachers. It has the tutoring center with its branches, QR card attendance and a parent portal, together with online courses, encrypted videos and EGP payments. If you are comparing Snatr with other software, see all of Snatr's comparisons.
Price and money
Daftra pricing: how much does Daftra cost? And what does a Snatr subscription include?
Daftra is accounting software from 489.5 EGP a month on annual billing, or 733 on monthly billing, and it does not mention online courses. A Snatr subscription starts at 999 EGP and includes the center, courses, encrypted video and online payments together.
In Snatr
✓Starter: 999 EGP a month, 100 students, 50 GB, and an extra student costs 15 EGP.
✓Basic: 1,999 EGP, 200 students, 150 GB, and an extra student costs 10 EGP.
✓Pro: 2,999 EGP, 400 students, 300 GB, an extra student costs 7, with live classes and a custom domain.
✓A student counts when enrolled in a course or group, so a center-only student does not count.
✓The center, courses and online payments in the same subscription, with no setup fee.
In Daftra
Basic: 489.5 EGP a month on annual billing (5,874 a year), or 733 monthly.
Advanced: 977.58 EGP on annual billing (11,731 a year), or 1,225 monthly.
Comprehensive: 1,960 EGP on annual billing (23,520 a year), or 2,448 monthly.
The new-client limit is 100 on Basic, 300 on Advanced, and none on Comprehensive.
An extra user costs 294 EGP a month on annual billing, and an extra branch 980, not available on Basic.

Daftra's prices are from its pricing page on 16 October 2026: Basic at 489.5 EGP a month on annual billing, with 100 new clients and no extra branches. Daftra does not mention selling online courses, so to sell your lessons you would need a second platform beside it, at its own price. On Snatr, center students who only attend, with no online enrolment, do not count toward the 100 students. The online payment commission is paid by the student on top of the 300 EGP.

These prices come from Daftra's pricing page on 16 October 2026. The page opens on annual billing, marked "up to 30% off". So figures such as 489.5 and 1,960 EGP are the monthly price if you pay for the whole year upfront.
Daftra prices by the number of clients, invoices, users and branches. Basic allows 100 new clients and 100 invoices a month, Advanced 300 clients and 500 invoices, and Comprehensive has no limit. The educational centers page sends you to "customer relationship management" to record student files, so ask Daftra: does every student count as a client?
On Snatr, your plan counts students enrolled in a course or group on the platform. A center student who only attends at the branch, with no online enrolment, does not count, so the Starter plan can cover a center with hundreds of students. If you have 120 students enrolled online on Starter, you pay for 20 extra students at 15 EGP, which is 300 EGP once, not every month, and the seats stay yours.
On Snatr your price reaches you in full. The online payment commission is added on top of your price for the student to pay, and a student who pays you cash is recorded manually with no commission. See Snatr's prices in detail.
Does Daftra accept EGP, Fawry and wallets?
Daftra lets students pay their invoice online through a payment gateway you connect to your account, and Fawry and Vodafone Cash are not named. On Snatr students pay by card, Fawry and wallets, without you opening an account at a payment company.
In Snatr
✓Students pay by Visa or Mastercard, even from outside Egypt with an international card, and the amount is in EGP.
✓Fawry: the student gets a code and pays it at any Fawry outlet within 24 hours.
✓Mobile wallets such as Vodafone Cash.
✓The money goes into your Snatr wallet, and you withdraw it to Vodafone Cash, InstaPay or a bank.
✓Activation code cards you print and sell for cash at the center, with no online payment.
In Daftra
The student opens the invoice from a link sent by email, SMS or WhatsApp, and pays it.
You have to enable a payment gateway and enter its connection details in the settings.
The help guide names Paymob, Stripe, PayTabs, Tap and PayPal, and explains connecting tabby and tamara.
Fawry and Vodafone Cash are not named, and the guide says "mobile wallets" without naming any.
If the student chooses cash or bank transfer on the payment page, the payment stays "incomplete" until you confirm it.
So with Daftra the money goes to your own account at the payment company, and its fees depend on your contract with them. That suits a center that already has a merchant account. If you do not, you will have to open one first.
On Snatr the money becomes available to withdraw after a holding period, currently 7 days, and the minimum withdrawal is currently 100 EGP. A code you sell for cash opens a course or a group, or adds credit for the student on your site.
Daftra follows up subscriptions with recurring invoices, instalments with due dates, and reminders for late instalments. In the price table, membership management starts from Advanced, and instalment management is on Comprehensive only. Snatr has no tracking of group fees or late payers.
Video and protection
Does Daftra have online courses and protected video?
Daftra's pages do not mention video courses or video protection. Its "courses" have schedules, rooms and invoices, not lessons a student watches. Snatr has courses with encrypted video that you sell in EGP, and well-known download tools cannot download it.
In Snatr
✓Courses with video lessons you upload, or a YouTube link for free lessons.
✓Uploaded video is encrypted, and its key goes to the browser's decryption module, not to the page.
✓Downloader extensions, "paste the link and download" sites and yt-dlp cannot download it.
✓A moving watermark on the video carries the student's name.
✓A student can be signed in on one device at a time, and signing in on a new device signs the old one out.
In Daftra
A course has a name, a code, schedules, a room, an attendance cost and enrolled students.
"Recorded courses" are mentioned as a service you add to inventory and invoice.
Uploading video, playing it for students and protecting it: not mentioned.
Storage is 5, 10 or 20 GB depending on the plan, and each extra GB costs 24.5 EGP.
At Snatr we measured the protection. Without the key the file comes out as noise, with a similarity to the original of only 10.6 dB. With the key it comes out intact at 59.9 dB, and the higher the number, the closer the picture is to the original.
Screen recording is not blocked on Snatr, and neither is a phone filming the screen. The watermark deters, because the student's name shows on the recording, but it is not proof. On iPhone and iPad the video plays normally, but the protection there is somewhat weaker against a technically skilled person.
If you sell recorded lessons, this is the biggest difference between the two. Daftra will record that the student paid, but its pages do not say how the lesson reaches them. Learn the details of video protection on Snatr.
Live classes and exams
Does Daftra have live classes, exams and certificates?
Daftra's pages do not mention live classes, online exams or certificates for students. Snatr has live classes inside your platform on the Pro plan, automatically marked exams timed on the server, and completion certificates with a QR code.
In Snatr
✓Live classes inside your platform on the Pro plan, without Zoom, with chat, hand raising and a microphone.
✓Attendance in a live class is recorded automatically: present or late.
✓Exams and homework are marked automatically, and the mark shows to the student and the parent.
✓Exam time is counted on the server, so changing the phone's clock gives the student no extra time.
✓Completion certificates you can print, with a QR code that opens a verification page on your site.
In Daftra
Live classes: not mentioned.
Online exams: not mentioned, and the student file has notes on their results and commitment.
Certificates for students: not mentioned.
Reports by student, teacher, course or period of the year.
Recording a live class on Snatr is a feature you switch on, and when it is on, the recording is added to the student group. Live streaming is not encrypted like uploaded video: it carries a watermark and a temporary link, and screen recording works.
Centers and parents
Daftra's educational center management software or Snatr?
Both record student attendance: Daftra by barcode or name, and Snatr by QR card. Snatr adds groups with seat limits, assistants with permissions and a parent portal, with online teaching in the same account. Daftra focuses on accounts, stock and staff payroll.
In Snatr
✓Branches and groups with their schedules and number of seats, and a register for every session.
✓A printed, signed QR card for each student, or a manual register.
✓Assistants and front-desk staff with their own accounts, and 4 ready permission templates.
✓You choose the registration form fields: governorate, city, stage, parent's number and ID photo.
✓No center accounts, expenses or stock for books.
In Daftra
A file for each student with their details, courses, attendance times, collections and notes on their results.
Attendance by typing the student's name, or scanning their barcode.
A chart of accounts, daily journal entries and profit and loss reports for the center.
Stock for books and supplies, and staff time attendance and payroll.
Extra branches from Advanced, at 980 EGP a month per branch on annual billing.
Daftra brings rent, electricity and salaries for front-desk staff and teachers together with student fees in one ledger, and gives you your net profit. Snatr does not have this.
On Snatr, the QR card carries a signed code that cannot be forged, and the assistant scans it at the door. But a card can be photographed and sent to someone else, so this is attendance by card, not by fingerprint. Scanning needs internet.
The four assistant templates are front desk, branch supervisor, academic assistant and full access. If you remove a permission from an assistant, it is gone the same moment. On Daftra an extra user costs 294 EGP a month on annual billing, and 392 on monthly billing.
Parent follow-up: Daftra's alerts or Snatr's portal?
Daftra sends reminders about appointments and payments by SMS and email, and the SMS link is on Comprehensive only. Snatr gives parents a portal on your site with their child's attendance at the center, and marks if enrolled online, with no messages sent automatically.
In Snatr
✓A portal on your site, which the parent opens with a password you set.
✓They see their child's attendance at the center, and how often they were absent or late.
✓They see marks and payments, if the child has an account on your site and is enrolled online.
✓One parent follows all their children from the same account.
✓No messages or notifications reach them on their phone.
In Daftra
Appointment alerts to students by SMS text message or email.
The schools page mentions reminding students and parents about instalment dates, and the centers page mentions the student only.
The "SMS link" in the price table is on Comprehensive only.
The client portal shows invoices, appointments and online payment, and attendance and marks in it are not mentioned.
Daftra sends reminders automatically, especially about money, so parents know an instalment is due without the front desk calling them.
On Snatr, the advantage is that parents see the center and online in one portal: their child's attendance at the branch, and exam marks and payments if enrolled in your courses. The portal is view-only, and nobody can see a child who is not theirs.
Your platform, your name
A platform and site in your name: Daftra or Snatr?
Snatr gives you a site in your name with 30 designs, where students buy and watch. Daftra has an "online store" app where you show your products and services, but it is not built for video courses. Daftra has mobile apps for you and your staff, and Snatr has no app.
In Snatr
✓Your platform starts on a site in your name.
✓A custom domain such as mybrand.com on the Pro plan: the Snatr team buys and connects it, and the first year is free.
✓30 ready designs whose text, colors and images you edit without code, and the first two are free.
✓Every site has its own sitemap that helps Google find your pages and courses.
✓No mobile app in your name. Students open your platform in the phone's browser.
In Daftra
Daftra's all-in-one app on Android and iPhone, and offline work only in the point of sale and expenses apps.
Apps for point of sale, time attendance, expenses and stock counts.
An app for students to watch your lessons: not mentioned.
An online store where you show your services, and video courses in it are not mentioned.
That site is where students go to see your courses, pay and watch. So if you sell lessons online, it is your face to students and parents.
On Snatr, the custom domain is not available during the trial. Once it is connected, the old link redirects to it automatically, along with your Google ranking. Browse Snatr's designs.
Language and support
How do you start with Daftra and with Snatr? And who helps you?
With both you sign up and start yourself, with no card. Daftra's trial is 14 days and Snatr's is 7 days. Daftra offers an account setup service and 24-hour support, and Snatr's support is in Arabic, 24/7, on WhatsApp and email.
In Snatr
✓Sign up at snatr.com and start a free 7-day trial, with no payment and no card.
✓You set up your courses and site yourself from a dashboard in Arabic, also available in English.
✓Support in Arabic, 24/7, on WhatsApp and by email at support@snatr.com.
✓Students sign up and sign in with their mobile number or email.
In Daftra
A free 14-day trial, with no credit card.
An "account setup" service if you want someone to configure it for you, and a customization and custom development service.
Free 24-hour support by phone, WhatsApp and email, and a user guide in Arabic and English.
Sales numbers in Egypt and 7 other Arab countries.
The setup service is a real advantage if the center is large and its accounts are old, because the chart of accounts needs someone who knows it to set it up from the start.
On Snatr, your site closes when the trial ends without a subscription. Changing your plan after that goes through support.
How to move from Daftra to Snatr, or use them together
1
Try Snatr before you stop anything
Open your Snatr account and use the free 7-day trial. Keep Daftra running until you are sure everything has moved. Note that your Snatr site closes when the trial ends without a subscription.
2
Decide where the accounts will stay
Snatr has no journal entries, expenses or stock. If you need them, keep Daftra for accounts, and use Snatr for students, attendance and teaching. If your accounts are simple, Snatr's payments and student reports may be enough.
3
Prepare your student list
Export your list of students, their groups and their parents' numbers from Daftra. Snatr has no Excel import, so you add them from the dashboard with the list in front of you.
4
Create your branches and groups and print the cards
Create each branch and its groups with their schedules and number of seats, and add the students. Then print a QR card for each student, so the assistant can scan it at the door.
5
Open accounts for assistants and parents
Open an account for each assistant and choose a permission template. Create an account with a password for each parent, link it to their children, and send them the link to their portal on your site.
6
Start online: upload your lessons and build your courses
Upload your videos to Snatr so they are encrypted, or add a YouTube link for free lessons. Set a price in EGP for each course, and print activation code cards for students who pay cash at the center.
Snatr's limits, before you sign up
We list them up front so you decide knowing everything.
!No center accounting: Snatr does not do journal entries, expenses or profit and loss reports, and has no stock for books. Only online payments are recorded automatically.
!No instalments or late-payer tracking: students cannot pay in instalments, and there are no instalment reminders and no list of late payers.
!No messages to parents: no WhatsApp, SMS or email is sent automatically. Parents see absences when they open their portal, and marks if the child is enrolled online.
!No payroll or staff attendance: assistants have accounts and permissions, but their salaries and attendance are not in Snatr.
!One teacher per platform: there is no way to have several teachers with split earnings in one account. If your center has many teachers, each teacher needs their own platform.
!No app in your name: your platform and the dashboard open in the phone's browser, and there is no app on Google Play or the App Store.
!QR attendance needs internet: scanning is done from the dashboard, and does not continue if the internet drops.
!No Excel import: you add your students from the dashboard.
!Screen recording is not blocked: nor is a phone filming the screen. The watermark makes the student's name visible on a recording, which deters, but it is not proof.
!Live classes and a custom domain are on the Pro plan only: at 2,999 EGP a month. Changing plans goes through support.
Frequently asked questions
Snatr or Daftra: which is better for a teacher in Egypt?
Snatr is better for a teacher or a center owner in Egypt. It has the center, courses, encrypted video, Fawry and wallet payments and a parent portal, in one subscription from 999 EGP a month. Daftra is accounting software from 489.5 EGP on annual billing, with accounting, stock and instalments. But its pages mention no courses or video, so to teach online you would need a second platform beside it.
How much does Daftra cost in Egypt?
According to Daftra's pricing page on 16 October 2026, Basic is 489.5 EGP a month if you pay the year upfront (5,874 EGP), or 733 EGP on monthly billing. Advanced is 977.58 or 1,225 EGP, and Comprehensive 1,960 or 2,448 EGP. So the 489.5 figure you often see is the monthly price on annual billing.
Is Daftra suitable for running a private tutoring center?
It suits center accounts, student files, barcode attendance, invoices and instalments. But its educational centers page does not mention groups with a set number of seats, a portal where parents see attendance and marks, exams, or selling video lessons. Snatr is built for teachers and centers and has those, but no accounts or stock.
Does Daftra have an online course platform?
As of 16 October 2026, Daftra's pages do not mention video courses, live classes or online exams. Its "courses" have schedules, a room and an attendance cost, and "recorded courses" are added as a service with an invoice. On Snatr, courses, encrypted video and online payments all work in the same subscription.
Does Daftra send messages to parents?
Daftra says it sends reminders about appointments, subscriptions and instalments by SMS and email, and the "SMS link" in its price table is on Comprehensive only. Snatr sends no automatic messages, and parents follow their child's attendance at the center from a portal on your site, and marks if the child is enrolled online.
Can I use Daftra and Snatr together?
You can, if your center is large and needs journal entries, stock and payroll. Daftra for accounts, expenses, stock and staff payroll, and Snatr for students, attendance, parents and online courses. But you will pay two subscriptions and register each student in two places. If you do not need journal entries and stock, Snatr alone is enough.
Can I sell activation codes and create discount coupons on Snatr?
Yes. Snatr generates cards with activation codes that you print and sell for cash. A code opens a specific course or group, or adds credit for the student on your site. A coupon is a percentage or a fixed amount, on the whole site, a course, a group or a stage, and each student can use it once.
Does Snatr take a percentage of my sales?
No. On Snatr your price reaches you in full. If a student pays online, the payment commission is added on top of your price and paid by the student, not deducted from you. A student who pays you cash is recorded manually with no commission at all.
If my students exceed my Snatr plan, do I pay for them every month?
No. New students sign up as usual, and an extra student is charged once when they join, not every month: 15 EGP on Starter, 10 on Basic and 7 on Pro. A center student who only attends at the branch, with no online enrolment, does not count at all. On Daftra the limit is on new clients: 100 on Basic and 300 on Advanced.
Is there a free trial on Daftra and on Snatr?
Yes, on both, with no card. Daftra's trial is 14 days and Snatr's is 7 days. On Snatr your site closes when the trial ends without a subscription.
