What is KIRA, and who is it for?

KIRA is an Egyptian system for managing tutoring centers at lms.kiradiv.com, named "KIRA CENTERS" on the site. It presents itself as a system that brings attendance, worksheets and finances together, along with a platform for videos and tests, in one place.

According to its home page on 7 October 2026, it offers barcode attendance with a WhatsApp alert to the parent, and a platform that encrypts videos and manages subscriptions and tests. Alongside that it has reports on teacher accounts, expenses and center profits, paper and electronic worksheets with automatic grading, a mobile app for parents, and permissions for each user.

Each center on it has a public page on its site with the center's address and number of students, the monthly subscription for each school year, and the group schedules. The home page says it has more than 7 centers, 7,175 students and 64 active groups. These figures are published on their site, and the centers shown on it are in Ismailia.

The copyright on KIRA's site is held by a company called KIRA DIV. The company's site, kiradiv.com, says it is a software company that builds websites and apps, based in Nasr City, Cairo.

Snatr, at snatr.com, is one platform with the center and online teaching together: a site under your name, courses with encrypted video, online payment in EGP, live classes, branches with QR card attendance, and a parent portal. The closest comparison to this page is Snatr vs TGO, because TGO also has a center system. If you are comparing other platforms, see all Snatr comparisons.

How much does KIRA cost, and what does Snatr cost for the same number of students?

KIRA's price is not published on its site, and you sign up by contacting them. Snatr's prices are published: 999 EGP a month for 100 students, 1,999 for 200 and 2,999 for 400, with no setup fee.

In Snatr

  • Starter: 999 EGP a month for 100 students and 50 GB, and each extra student at 15 EGP.
  • Basic: 1,999 EGP for 200 students and 150 GB, and each extra student at 10 EGP.
  • Pro: 2,999 EGP for 400 students and 300 GB, each extra student at 7, plus live classes and a custom domain.
  • An extra student is charged once, and a branch student with no online enrollment does not count toward the plan.
  • No setup fee, and a free 7-day trial you start on your own.

In ⁨KIRA⁩

  • The subscription price is not published on any of their pages.
  • The center registration page says "registration is currently closed" and asks you to get in touch by phone or WhatsApp.
  • The "Start for free" button on the home page opens that registration page.
  • Setup fees and the student limits in each plan are not mentioned.

If KIRA quotes you a price for your number of students, divide it by the number of students and compare it with about 10 EGP per student on Snatr. On Snatr, a student who pays online pays the payment fee on top of the 300 EGP.

This comes from KIRA's site on 7 October 2026. The home page has a section called "Most requested packages", but those are courses for students with their prices, not subscription plans for centers.

On Snatr your price reaches you in full. A student who pays online pays the payment fee on top of your price, and a student who paid you cash is enrolled manually with no commission at all. See Snatr's pricing in detail.

In short: Ask KIRA for its price in writing for your number of students, and ask: is there a setup fee? And what happens if your students grow? Then compare with this table.

Does KIRA accept payment in EGP, Fawry and mobile wallets?

KIRA's site does not mention any online payment method: no card, no Fawry and no wallet. Its courses are priced in EGP, and the center tracks its money in the system. On Snatr the student pays online in EGP, and you withdraw to Vodafone Cash or InstaPay.

In Snatr

  • The student pays in EGP by card, or with a wallet such as Vodafone Cash.
  • Fawry: the student gets a code and pays it at any Fawry outlet within 24 hours.
  • The money goes into your Snatr wallet, and you withdraw it to Vodafone Cash, InstaPay or your bank.
  • You can set a monthly price or a per-class price for live class groups.
  • A student who paid you cash at the center is enrolled manually, with no commission at all.

In ⁨KIRA⁩

  • How a student pays online is not mentioned on any of their pages.
  • The course page shows the price in EGP and a "Log in to subscribe" button.
  • The parent app shows payments for viewing only, with no way to pay through it.
  • Center accounting: expenses, center profits and teacher accounts, with detailed reports.

The terms of KIRA's parent app say the financial information in it is "for viewing only". They also say that "no financial transactions or direct payments are made through the app". So parents see what is owed, and the payment itself happens outside the app.

If you have online students in other governorates, ask KIRA before you subscribe: how will students pay me, and when will the money reach me? On Snatr the student pays on your site, and the course opens automatically.

On Snatr, money becomes available to withdraw after a safety period that is currently 7 days, and the minimum withdrawal is currently 100 EGP. You do not need to open an account with any payment company.

But Snatr has no accounting for the center itself. It does not track center expenses, teacher accounts or center profits, and KIRA has these.

Video protection on KIRA and Snatr: which one does more to stop downloads?

Both say the video is encrypted. Snatr explains how and has published a measurement of it, and it has a watermark with the student's name. KIRA writes "uploading and encrypting videos" with no details, and a watermark is not mentioned.

In Snatr

  • The video file is encrypted, and its key goes to the decryption module in the browser, not to the page.
  • Download extensions, "paste the link and download" sites and yt-dlp cannot download it.
  • A moving watermark on the video that shows the student's name.
  • A student is signed in on one device at a time: signing in on a new device signs the old one out.
  • Screen recording is not blocked, and the watermark only deters.

In ⁨KIRA⁩

  • "Uploading and encrypting videos" is listed among their learning platform's features.
  • The encryption method and protection against download tools are not explained.
  • A watermark and the number of devices per student are not mentioned.
  • Their courses have an access period, such as 4 days or 30 days.

At Snatr we measured the protection. Without the key the file comes out as noise, with a similarity to the original of only 10.6 dB. With the key it comes out intact at 59.9 dB, and the higher the number, the closer the picture is to the original. KIRA does not publish any measurement like this.

On iPhone and iPad, video on Snatr plays normally, and ready-made download tools fail on them too. But the protection there is a little weaker against someone with technical expertise. This protection covers the video you upload; a YouTube link in a lesson stays an ordinary YouTube video.

If protecting your lessons matters to you, ask KIRA: how is the video encrypted? Can download programs download it? Is the student's name shown on the video? Learn the details of video protection on Snatr.

Does KIRA have live classes, exams and worksheets?

KIRA's site does not mention live classes, and it has electronic exams with instant results and paper and electronic worksheets with automatic grading. Snatr has live classes from inside your platform on the Pro plan, and auto-graded exams, and no paper worksheets.

In Snatr

  • Live classes from inside your platform, with no Zoom or Google Meet, with chat and raised hands.
  • You can give a student the mic, and assistants moderate the mics, the chat and who gets in.
  • Class attendance is recorded automatically: present or late.
  • Exams and assignments are graded automatically, and the grade shows up for the student and the parent.
  • No paper worksheets, and no way to record grades for an exam taken on paper.

In ⁨KIRA⁩

  • Live classes are not mentioned on any of their pages.
  • Interactive electronic tests, with the result shown to the student right away.
  • Paper and electronic worksheets with automatic grading, and detailed results for students.
  • Parents get an in-app notification when results come out.

Paper worksheets are a real advantage for a center that hands students paper in class. KIRA's site does not explain how paper is graded automatically, so if that matters to you, ask to see it working.

Recording a live class on Snatr is a feature that gets switched on, and when it is on, the recording is added to the students' group. Live classes are not encrypted like uploaded video: they carry a watermark and a temporary link, and screen recording still works.

In short: If you teach live classes every week to students at home, Snatr's Pro plan means you do not need Zoom. Attendance is recorded automatically, and parents see it next to center attendance in their portal.

KIRA or Snatr for running a center?

Both record attendance with a code, have groups with schedules, and give staff accounts with permissions. KIRA has WhatsApp alerts, center accounting and multiple teachers. Snatr has branches and a seat count for each group, and brings the center together with online teaching, live classes and online payment in one account.

In Snatr

  • Branches and groups with their schedules and each group's seat count, and an attendance register for every class.
  • Attendance with a printed, signed QR card for each student, or a manual register.
  • A center student does not need an email address or an online account.
  • Assistants and front-desk staff with their own accounts, and 4 ready-made permission templates.
  • A report for each student with their progress, results and attendance, downloaded as a file that opens in Excel.

In ⁨KIRA⁩

  • Check-in and check-out by barcode, with an instant WhatsApp alert to the parent.
  • Groups with their schedules, and a monthly subscription for each school year.
  • Teacher accounts, expenses and center profits, with real-time reports.
  • Staff login, and permissions for each user.
  • Branches and the seat count per group are not mentioned.

The QR card on Snatr carries a signed code that cannot be forged, and the assistant scans it from the dashboard on a phone or a computer. But the card can be photographed and sent to someone else, so this is attendance by card, not by fingerprint. Scanning needs an internet connection.

The four assistant templates are front desk, branch supervisor, academic assistant and full access. If you remove a permission from an assistant, it is removed that same moment, without them having to log out and back in.

Center accounting and multiple teachers are in KIRA, and not in Snatr. But if you are a teacher who teaches at a center and online, Snatr combines both in one account, and the student pays you online with the course opening automatically.

In short: See center management on Snatr: branches, groups, attendance and assistants. If you are comparing center software, also see Snatr vs Daftra and Snatr vs DEXEF.

How do parents follow their child on KIRA and on Snatr?

On KIRA, parents get a WhatsApp alert with attendance, and they have a mobile app with attendance, results, payments and messages with the center. On Snatr they open a portal on your site in the browser, with their child's attendance and grades, without notifications.

In Snatr

  • A portal on your own site, which they log into with a password you set.
  • They see their child's attendance at the branch and in live classes, in one place.
  • They see grades and payments, if their child is enrolled in your online courses.
  • A page with the days the child was absent or late, but no alert reaches their phone.
  • One parent follows all their children from the same account.

In ⁨KIRA⁩

  • An instant WhatsApp alert to the parent when attendance is recorded.
  • A mobile app with the children's attendance, results and payments "moment by moment".
  • In-app notifications for attendance, results and center messages.
  • Messages between the parent and the center from inside the app.
  • The center creates the parent's account, and the parent logs in with their mobile number.

What we say about KIRA's app comes from its home page and the app's privacy policy and terms of use, where it is called the "Parent Platform". The app's link on Google Play or the App Store is not published on their site, so ask them for it.

On Snatr, the advantage is that parents see the center and online teaching together. Whether their child attended the class at the branch or joined the live class from home, both are on the same page. The portal is view-only, and no one can see any child but their own.

Snatr does not send WhatsApp or SMS messages to parents automatically, and KIRA sends a WhatsApp alert with attendance. On Snatr the parent opens their portal from any browser, without installing an app.

Your platform under your name: a page on KIRA or a full site on Snatr?

KIRA gives each center a page on its site with the address, schedules and prices, and courses are shown on KIRA's video platform alongside other teachers. Snatr gives you a full site under your name, with a design you choose and customize yourself.

In Snatr

  • Your platform starts on a site in your name.
  • 30 ready-made designs where you change the text, colors and images without code, and the first two designs are free.
  • Custom domain such as mybrand.com on the Pro plan: the Snatr team buys and connects it, and the first year is free.
  • Your site can be in Arabic, English or both.
  • No mobile app under your name. Students open your platform in their phone's browser.

In ⁨KIRA⁩

  • A page for each center on lms.kiradiv.com, with the address, number of students and groups.
  • The page shows the monthly subscription for each school year and the group schedules.
  • Courses are on KIRA's "video platform", along with a "teachers gallery".
  • A custom domain and designs to choose from are not mentioned.
  • A mobile app for parents, according to their site.

KIRA's public center page is a good idea, because parents learn the schedules and prices before they come. But it is a page inside KIRA's site, and its address in the browser says "KIRA CENTERS", not a separate site under your name.

On Snatr, the custom domain is not available during the trial. Once it is connected, the old link redirects to it automatically, and your Google ranking moves with it.

If you want a site whose look you choose and customize yourself today, browse Snatr's designs.

How do you get started with KIRA and with Snatr?

On Snatr you sign up at snatr.com and start a free 7-day trial on your own. On KIRA the center registration page is currently closed, and you sign up by contacting them by phone or WhatsApp.

In Snatr

  • You sign up and start a free 7-day trial without waiting on anyone.
  • You set up your courses and site yourself from an Arabic dashboard, also available in English.
  • Support in Arabic on WhatsApp and by email at support@snatr.com.
  • No import of your student list from an Excel file. You add them from the dashboard.

In ⁨KIRA⁩

  • The center registration page says "registration is currently closed".
  • You sign up by contacting the phone and WhatsApp numbers published on the same page.
  • The center creates the parent's account, and students register themselves on the video platform.
  • Student registration asks for the parent's WhatsApp number and a photo of an ID card or birth certificate.

KIRA's site and portals are in Arabic, with separate logins for students, parents and staff. There is no help center or published FAQ on the site.

On Snatr, your site is closed when the trial ends without a subscription. Changing your plan after that goes through support.

How to move from KIRA to Snatr

  1. 1

Try Snatr before you stop anything

Open your account on Snatr and use the free 7-day trial. Keep KIRA running until you are sure everything has moved over. Note that your site on Snatr is closed when the trial ends without a subscription.

  2. 2

Ask for a copy of your students' data

Ask KIRA for a file with your students, their groups and their parents' numbers. Snatr has no Excel import, so you will add them from the dashboard, and the file will make the work easier.

  3. 3

Create your branches and groups, and print the cards

Create each branch and its groups with their schedules and seat counts, and add the students to them. Then print a QR card for each student, so the assistant can scan it at the door.

  4. 4

Open accounts for assistants and parents

Open an account for each assistant and choose a permission template for them. Create an account with a password for each parent, and link it to their children.

  5. 5

Upload your lessons and create your courses

Upload your videos to Snatr so they get encrypted, or put a YouTube link for free lessons. Set each course's price in EGP, and enroll a student who paid you cash manually, with no commission.

  6. 6

Tell parents about the new way

Send each parent the link to their portal on your site and their password. Tell them clearly that follow-up now happens through the portal, and that WhatsApp messages will no longer arrive automatically as before.

  7. 7

    Stop your KIRA subscription

Once students and parents start using Snatr, contact KIRA and stop your subscription. If you want your students' data deleted on their side, ask them for that in writing.

Snatr's limits, before you sign up

We list them up front so you decide knowing everything.

  • No parent notifications: no WhatsApp, SMS or mobile notifications are sent automatically. Parents see absences and late arrivals when they open their portal.
  • No center accounting: Snatr does not track center expenses, teacher accounts or center profits. Only online payments are recorded automatically.
  • One teacher per platform: no multiple teachers with split earnings in the same account.
  • No mobile app: not for students and not for parents. The platform and the portal open in the phone's browser.
  • No paper worksheets: exams are online only, and there is no way to record grades for an exam taken on paper.
  • Screen recording is not blocked: nor is a phone filming the screen. The watermark puts the student's name on the recording, which deters, but it is not proof.
  • QR attendance needs internet: scanning is done from the dashboard and does not go through if the connection drops.
  • No Excel import: you add your students from the dashboard.
  • Custom domain on the Pro plan only: and it is not available during the trial. Plan changes go through support.

Frequently asked questions

Snatr or KIRA: which is better for a teacher in Egypt?

Snatr is better for a teacher or a center owner in Egypt. It has branches, QR card attendance and a parent portal, plus a website in your name and online payment with Fawry and wallets. It also has encrypted video, published prices from 999 EGP, and live classes on the Pro plan. KIRA has WhatsApp alerts for parents and center accounting, but its price is not published, and online payment and live classes are not stated on its website.

Is KIRA for center management the same as Kira Learning?

No. The KIRA on this page is an Egyptian center management system at lms.kiradiv.com, named "KIRA CENTERS" on its site. Kira Learning is a different, English-language platform at kira-learning.com that helps school teachers with AI tools. The two names are similar, which is why a search for "KIRA platform" may bring up both.

Who makes KIRA, and is it Egyptian?

The copyright on KIRA's site is held by a company called KIRA DIV, with its site at kiradiv.com. The company's site says it is a software company based in Nasr City, Cairo. The parent app's terms say they are governed by Egyptian law, and the prices on the center pages are in EGP.

Does KIRA have a mobile app?

Yes, according to its site there is a mobile app for parents, called the "Parent Platform" in its privacy policy. It shows the children's attendance, results and payments, and sends instant notifications. Its store link is not published on their site, and a student app is not mentioned. Snatr has no app at all, and parents and students open it in the phone's browser.

Does Snatr send WhatsApp messages to parents?

No. Snatr does not send WhatsApp messages, SMS or notifications to parents. Parents log into a portal on your site with a password you set, and see their child's attendance at the center and in live classes, the days they were absent or late, and their grades.

Can I use KIRA and Snatr together?

You can, but you will pay two subscriptions and record each student's attendance in two places. If you want KIRA for WhatsApp alerts and center accounting, and Snatr for courses, online payment and live classes, that is possible. But Snatr on its own has attendance, branches and a parent portal. So if you do not need the alerts or expense accounting, one platform is easier for you and your students.

Does Snatr take a share of my sales?

No. On Snatr your price reaches you in full. If the student pays online, the payment fee is added on top of your price for them and is not deducted from you. A student who pays you cash is enrolled manually with no commission at all.

If my students go over my Snatr plan, does enrollment stop?

No. New students enroll as normal, and you pay for each extra student once, not every month. The price is 15 EGP on Starter, 10 on Basic and 7 on Pro. The student limits in KIRA's plans are not published.

Can I try Snatr before I pay?

Yes, there is a free 7-day trial you start yourself from snatr.com. If the trial ends without a subscription, your site is closed. The custom domain is not available during the trial.
