Snatr vs Mudarris: a comparison for teachers and tutoring centers in Egypt (2026)

For a teacher or a center in Egypt, Snatr is the better choice. It has the center with its branches, attendance and a parent portal, alongside courses, encrypted video and Fawry and wallet payments, and the course opens automatically once the student pays. All of this is in one subscription from 999 EGP a month. Mudarris is an Egyptian system for running a center, and its website does not mention selling courses or uploading video.

What is the Mudarris program? And who is it for?

Mudarris is a system for running private lessons and tutoring centers. Its website is mudarris.online, and its prices are in EGP. It says it was "designed specifically for teachers and centers in Egypt", and its footer says it was made in Egypt. Its Arabic name is an everyday word for "teacher", so search for it together with its website.

The program covers almost all of a center's work. It has students and groups with QR codes, attendance by scanning, monthly invoices that generate themselves with sibling discounts, WhatsApp messages to parents, a dashboard for parents, and assistants with permissions.

Mudarris works offline, and so do its exams. Students take an exam on a Wi-Fi network inside the center, with no internet, and there is a question bank and question shuffling against cheating. The app runs on Android, Windows and Mac, and you link it to your account with a code.

What Mudarris does not have is the online side. Its website does not mention selling courses, uploading video, live classes or a website in the teacher's name. The payments its website explains are center collection: invoices, discounts and late payers. Online payment by students with Fawry or a mobile wallet is not mentioned.

Snatr at snatr.com brings both together in one account. It has the center, with its branches, QR card attendance and a parent portal, alongside the online side, with courses, encrypted videos and EGP payments. If you are comparing Snatr with other platforms, see all Snatr comparisons.

How much does Mudarris cost? And what does a Snatr subscription include?

Mudarris is software for running a center: a 0 EGP plan for 30 students, 199 EGP for 150 students, and 399 with no limit. A Snatr subscription starts at 999 EGP a month and includes the center, courses, encrypted video and online payments together.

In Snatr

  • Starter: 999 EGP a month, 100 students, 50 GB, and an extra student costs 15 EGP.
  • Basic: 1,999 EGP, 200 students, 150 GB, and an extra student costs 10 EGP.
  • Pro: 2,999 EGP, 400 students, 300 GB, with live classes and a custom domain.
  • An extra student is charged once, not every month, and a branch student with no online enrollment does not count.
  • A free 7-day trial with no card, and published prices are monthly only.

In ⁨Mudarris⁩

  • A "Trial" plan at 0 EGP: 30 students and 3 groups, with no staff.
  • Basic: 199 EGP a month, 150 students, 10 groups and 3 staff.
  • Pro: 399 EGP a month, with unlimited students, groups and staff.
  • Yearly: 1,990 and 3,990 EGP, 17% off, plus a 14-day trial with no card.
  • The subscription is paid through Stripe, and renews automatically unless you cancel.

Example: a teacher with 100 students in a center who wants to sell lessons online at 300 EGP a month

On Snatr you keep 29,001 EGP a month from online sales, with center management in the same subscription

Mudarris's price is from its pricing page on 10 October 2026: Basic at 199 EGP a month or 1,990 a year, with 100 WhatsApp messages a month. Mudarris does not mention online selling, so to sell your lessons you would need a second platform beside it, at its own price. On Snatr, the online payment commission is paid by the student on top of the 300 EGP.

These prices come from the Mudarris pricing page on 10 October 2026. The 0 EGP plan is called "Trial" on the pricing page, and the terms of use call it "the free plan". The website does not say whether it stays free after the 14 days, so ask them.

The free plan has no parent dashboard, no WhatsApp messages, no sync and no backup, according to the pricing table. So anyone using it in a real center will probably need Basic at 199.

An example from Snatr: with 120 students enrolled in courses or groups on the Starter plan, you pay for 20 extra students at 15 EGP, which is 300 EGP once, and the seats stay yours. See Snatr's prices in detail.

Does Mudarris accept online student payments with Fawry and wallets?

Mudarris generates monthly invoices by itself and tracks late payers, and it mentions "payment via QR" without explaining where the money goes. On Snatr, the student pays by card, Fawry or mobile wallet, and you withdraw to Vodafone Cash or InstaPay.

In Snatr

  • The student pays in EGP: card, Fawry, or a mobile wallet such as Vodafone Cash.
  • The money goes into your Snatr wallet, and you withdraw to Vodafone Cash, InstaPay or a bank.
  • Your price reaches you in full, and the platform commission is added on top for the student.
  • Discount coupons by percent or amount, and printed prepaid cards you sell for cash.
  • No invoices for center groups and no late-payer tracking.

In ⁨Mudarris⁩

  • Monthly invoices generated automatically for each group, priced monthly or per lesson.
  • Sibling and other discounts, with late-payer tracking and automatic reminders.
  • "Scan QR for attendance and payment in a second", with no payment details.
  • Revenue and expense reports for each group and each student.
  • Student payment by card, Fawry or wallet, and withdrawals: not stated.

Mudarris generates monthly invoices by itself and works out sibling discounts, and Snatr does not have this. On Snatr, a student who pays online gets the course opened automatically, with nobody collecting from them or checking their payment.

Ask Mudarris before you subscribe: does "payment via QR" mean the student pays online, or that the secretary records a payment by scanning the student's code? And if it is online, how does the money reach you, and what are the fees?

On Snatr, money becomes available to withdraw after a safety period that is currently 7 days, and the minimum withdrawal is currently 100 EGP. If your students are used to paying cash, you enroll them manually with no commission, or print prepaid cards for them. A card either unlocks a course or group, or adds credit to the student's account on your website.

Can I sell courses and protected video on Mudarris?

The Mudarris website does not mention selling courses or uploading video. Snatr has courses with encrypted video that you sell in EGP, and well-known download tools cannot save it.

In Snatr

  • Courses with video lessons you upload, or a YouTube link for free lessons.
  • Uploaded video is encrypted, and its key goes to the browser's decryption module, not the page.
  • Download extensions, "paste the link" sites and yt-dlp cannot save it.
  • A moving watermark on the video, with the student's name.
  • A student can be signed in on only one device at a time.

In ⁨Mudarris⁩

  • A center management system, and online courses are not among its listed features.
  • Uploading or protecting video: not stated.
  • Homework and its due dates appear in the parent dashboard.

We at Snatr measured the protection. Without the key, the file plays as noise, only 10.6 dB similar to the original. With the key it plays cleanly at 59.9 dB, and the higher the number, the closer the picture is to the original.

Screen recording is not blocked on Snatr, and neither is a phone filming the screen. The watermark deters, because the student's name shows on the recording, but it is not proof. On iPhone and iPad the video plays normally, but the protection there is somewhat weaker against a technical expert.

If someone signs in to the student's account on another device, the first device is signed out automatically. That makes it harder for a student to share an account with friends. Learn how Snatr protects video.

Offline Mudarris exams or online Snatr exams?

Both have electronic exams, but each is built for a different place. Mudarris runs the exam in the center on a local Wi-Fi network without internet. Snatr runs it online: the student answers from home and the timer runs on the server.

In Snatr

  • Exams and homework students take on your platform, from anywhere with internet.
  • True/false and multiple choice are marked automatically, and you mark written answers in group exams.
  • The timer runs on the server, not on the student's phone.
  • The mark shows to the student, and to the parent in their portal.
  • A completion certificate with a QR code for verification, and live classes on the Pro plan.

In ⁨Mudarris⁩

  • A local exam server on the center's Wi-Fi, with no internet.
  • A question bank: 100 questions on Trial, 500 on Basic, and unlimited on Pro.
  • Anti-cheating through question shuffling, and result analysis for each student.
  • Trial includes one exam a week, and the other plans are unlimited.
  • Live classes and student certificates: not stated.

Mudarris's local exam server is built for a center with weak internet. Students answer on the center's network while sitting in the hall, and the result comes out at once.

Snatr's exams are built for students who answer from home. The student needs internet, but does not need to come to the center. The mark is saved in their report next to their attendance, and reaches their parent in the portal.

Attendance in a Snatr live class is recorded automatically: present or late. Recording the class is a feature you switch on, and when it runs the recording is added to the student group. Live classes are not encrypted like uploaded video: they carry a watermark and a temporary link, and screen recording still works.

Mudarris or Snatr for running a center and taking attendance?

Both record attendance by QR code or manually, and both have assistants with permissions. Snatr adds branches and group seat limits, and combines center and live attendance in one report per student. Mudarris works offline and produces center invoices.

In Snatr

  • Branches and groups with their schedules and seat counts, and a register for every lesson.
  • A printed, signed QR card for each student, or a manual register: present, late, absent or excused.
  • A report per student with center and live attendance and marks, exported as a CSV file.
  • Assistants with their own accounts and 4 permission templates, and a removed permission ends at once.
  • Scanning needs internet, and there is no mobile app.

In ⁨Mudarris⁩

  • A QR code for each student, with attendance by scan, by one tap, or in bulk.
  • Works offline, and syncs when the connection returns.
  • Staff with permissions: 3 on Basic, and unlimited on Pro.
  • Attendance reports per student and group, with PDF export, and Excel on Pro.
  • Local network sync on Pro, and branches are not mentioned.

Working offline is Mudarris's clearest advantage, and Snatr has nothing like it. If the internet in your center drops often, attendance is still recorded as normal and the data syncs later. On Snatr, scanning happens in the dashboard in the browser, and it stops if the connection drops.

On Snatr, the QR card carries a signed code that cannot be forged. But a card can be photographed and sent to someone else, so this is attendance by card, not by fingerprint.

If you teach in more than one place, Snatr keeps your branches in one account, and each branch has its own groups and registers. Mudarris does not mention branches on its website, so ask them if you have more than one. The four assistant templates on Snatr are front desk, branch supervisor, academic assistant and full access.

In short: See center management on Snatr: branches, groups, attendance and assistants.

Parent follow-up: Mudarris WhatsApp or the Snatr portal?

Mudarris sends parents WhatsApp messages automatically about absences, payments and results, and has a dashboard they follow, both from Basic up. Snatr gives the parent a portal on your website with the child's center and live attendance and marks, without messages.

In Snatr

  • A portal on your own website, opened with a password you set.
  • The parent sees the child's branch and live class attendance in one place.
  • The parent sees marks from exams taken on your platform.
  • One parent follows all their children from the same account.
  • No messages or notifications reach the parent's phone.

In ⁨Mudarris⁩

  • Automatic WhatsApp messages: payment reminders, results and absences, from templates or your own text.
  • 100 messages a month on Basic, unlimited on Pro, and none on Trial.
  • A parent dashboard with attendance, results, invoices, homework and due dates.
  • Instant notifications when an absence or a mark is recorded.

Mudarris sends parents a message by itself after the lesson, and Snatr does not have this. Many parents wait for a message, and not all of them will open a portal.

Watch the limit: 100 messages a month on Basic can run out quickly. A center with 150 students, sending one absence message and one payment message to each per month, needs 300 messages. So you will probably need Pro at 399.

On Snatr, the advantage is that the parent sees the center and online together. Whether the child attended in the branch or joined a live class from home, both are on the same page. The portal is read-only, and nobody can see a child other than their own.

A platform and website in your name: Mudarris or Snatr?

Snatr gives you a website in your name with 30 designs you edit yourself. Mudarris is a management system, and it does not mention a website in the teacher's name. On the other hand, Mudarris has Android, Windows and Mac apps, and Snatr has no app.

In Snatr

  • Your platform on a link in your name, and a custom domain like mybrand.com on the Pro plan.
  • 30 ready designs whose text, colors and images you edit without code, the first two free.
  • You choose the sign-up fields: governorate, city, stage, ID card photo and parent's phone.
  • Every teacher's site has its own sitemap that helps Google find its pages.
  • No mobile app in your name. Students open your platform in their phone's browser.

In ⁨Mudarris⁩

  • An Android app (an APK file), a Windows version and a Mac version.
  • You sign up on the website, enter a link code in the app, then set a PIN.
  • The website is available in Arabic and English.
  • A website in the teacher's name with designs, or a custom domain: not stated.

On Snatr, the custom domain is not available during the trial. The Snatr team buys and connects it, and the first year is free with the plan. Once it is connected, the old link redirects to it automatically, along with your Google ranking.

This website is where students sign up with their phone number or email, see your courses, pay and watch. If you sell lessons online, it is your storefront for students and parents. Browse Snatr's designs.

How do you get started with Mudarris and with Snatr? And who helps you?

On Mudarris you create an account, download the app and enter the link code, and you get a 14-day trial. On Snatr you sign up at snatr.com and start a 7-day trial in the browser. Neither needs a card.

In Snatr

  • You sign up and start a 7-day trial yourself, with no card.
  • An Arabic right-to-left dashboard, with English too.
  • Support in Arabic over WhatsApp and email at support@snatr.com, 24 hours.
  • No import of a student list from an Excel file. You add students in the dashboard.

In ⁨Mudarris⁩

  • Sign-up with name, email and phone, and a 14-day trial with no card.
  • The link code is valid for 72 hours, and you enter it in the app after downloading.
  • Support by email and on WhatsApp.
  • If you cancel your account, your data is deleted within 30 days, according to the terms.

On Snatr, your site closes when the trial ends without a subscription. After that, changing your plan is done through support.

On Mudarris, the subscription renews automatically after the trial unless you cancel, according to the terms of use. You cancel from your account settings, and the subscription stays active until the end of the period you paid for.

How to move from Mudarris to Snatr

  1. 1

    Try Snatr before stopping anything

Open your Snatr account and use the free 7-day trial. Keep Mudarris running until you are sure everything has moved. Note that your Snatr site closes when the trial ends without a subscription.

  2. 2

Export your student data from Mudarris first

Mudarris exports reports as PDF, and as Excel on Pro. Export your students, their groups and their parents before you cancel, because data is deleted within 30 days of cancelling. Snatr has no Excel import, so you will add them in the dashboard.

  3. 3

Set up your branches and groups, and print the cards

Create each branch and its groups with their schedules and seat counts, and add students to them. Then print a QR card for each student, so an assistant can scan it at the door. Old Mudarris codes will not work on Snatr.

  4. 4

    Open assistant and parent accounts

Open an account for each assistant and choose a permission template. Create an account for each parent with a password, link it to their children, and send them the link to their portal on your website. Tell parents that the messages they used to get will become a portal.

  5. 5

Start online: upload your lessons and build your courses

Upload your videos to Snatr so they are encrypted, or add a YouTube link for free lessons. Set a price in EGP for each course. If your students pay cash, print prepaid cards for them or enroll them manually with no commission.

  6. 6

Decide what to do with your Mudarris subscription

Invoices, sibling discounts and WhatsApp messages are not in Snatr. If you need them, you can stay on Mudarris for center accounts only. If you do not, cancel the subscription in settings before the renewal date.

Snatr's limits, before you sign up

We list them up front so you decide knowing everything.

  • No invoices or center accounts: Snatr does not create invoices for center groups, or track late payers or sibling discounts. Only online payments are recorded automatically.
  • No messages to parents: no WhatsApp, SMS or automatic notifications. Parents see absences and marks when they open their portal.
  • No offline mode: QR card scanning and exams need internet, and there are no exams on a center's local network.
  • No app: your platform opens in the phone or computer browser, and there is no app on Google Play, the App Store, Windows or Mac.
  • No permanent free plan and no yearly price: the first plan is 999 EGP a month, and published prices are monthly only.
  • Live classes and a custom domain are on the Pro plan only: and the domain is not available during the trial. Changing plans is done through support.
  • No Excel import: you add your students in the dashboard.
  • One teacher per platform: there is no way to have several teachers with split earnings in one account. If your center has many teachers, each one needs their own platform.
  • Screen recording is not blocked: and neither is a phone filming the screen. The watermark puts the student's name on the recording, which deters, but it is not proof.

Frequently asked questions

Snatr or Mudarris: which is better for a teacher in Egypt?

Snatr is better for a teacher or a center in Egypt. It has the center with its branches, attendance and a parent portal, alongside courses, encrypted video and online payments in EGP, in one subscription from 999 EGP a month. Mudarris is center management software from 199 EGP a month, with invoices, WhatsApp messages to parents and offline exams. But its website does not mention selling courses or online payments, so to teach online you would need a second platform beside it.

Is the Mudarris program the same as mudarris.online?

Yes. Mudarris is the Latin spelling of its Arabic name, and its website is mudarris.online, with its features, prices and sign-up. The Arabic name is an everyday word that appears in a lot of writing about private lessons, so search for the website or the English name.

Is Mudarris free?

There is a 0 EGP plan for 30 students and 3 groups, called "Trial" on the pricing page and "the free plan" in the terms. It has no parent dashboard, no WhatsApp messages and no sync. Paid plans start with a 14-day trial with no card, then cost 199 or 399 EGP a month.

Does Mudarris work without internet? And Snatr?

Mudarris does: its website says the app works offline, data syncs when the connection returns, and exams run on local Wi-Fi in the center. Snatr does not: the dashboard, QR card scanning and exams need internet.

Does Mudarris send WhatsApp messages to parents?

Yes, from the Basic plan up. It sends payment reminders, results and absences automatically, from templates or a message you write. Basic includes 100 messages a month, and Pro is unlimited. Snatr has no messages, and parents follow through a portal on your website.

Can I sell courses online on Mudarris?

The Mudarris website does not mention selling courses, uploading video or online payment by students. It is a center management system. On Snatr you sell courses with encrypted video, and the student pays by card, Fawry or mobile wallet, or with a prepaid card bought from you for cash.

Does Snatr take a percentage of my sales?

No. On Snatr your price reaches you in full. If a student pays online, the payment commission is added on top of your price for them, and it is not deducted from you. A student who pays you cash is enrolled manually with no commission at all.

If my students exceed my Snatr plan, do I pay for them every month?

No. New students sign up as normal, and each extra student is charged once when they join, not every month: 15 EGP on Starter, 10 on Basic and 7 on Pro. On Mudarris, Basic covers 150 students and Pro is unlimited.

Does Snatr have certificates, coupons and prepaid cards?

Yes. There is a printable course completion certificate with a QR code that opens a verification page. There are coupons by percent or fixed amount, and each student can use a coupon once. There are also printed prepaid cards you sell for cash: a card unlocks a course or group, or adds credit to the student's account.

Can I use Mudarris and Snatr together?

You can, but you will pay two subscriptions and record each student's attendance in two places. You could use Mudarris for invoices and WhatsApp messages, and Snatr for courses, video, online payment and live classes. But Snatr alone has attendance, branches and a parent portal, so if you do not need invoices or messages, one platform is easier for you and your students.
