What is Classera? And who is it for?

Classera calls itself a "Learning Super Platform". Its About page says it was founded in 2012, with its headquarters in San Francisco, and it has offices in Jeddah, Amman, Dubai, Cairo and Malaysia.

Classera sells to institutions: education ministries, universities, private schools, government and corporate training, and virtual academies and training institutes. It says it works in more than 40 countries, with more than 200 partners.

The platform is large. It has a learning system (LMS), a training system called LeadXera, a management system (ERP), a payment gateway called C Pay, a school store called Edumalls, and a virtual academy under the institution's brand called C-Spaces. It also has an AI assistant called X.SERA.

In Egypt, Classera has an office in Cairo. Its site carries a December 2022 news item about a partnership with Fawry for paying school fees, and a September 2026 item about a partnership with Epson for schools in Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Egypt.

Classera is built for a whole institution: thousands of students, staff, finance, an app under the institution's brand, AI tools, and ISO 27001 certification for data security. That is a different kind of work from private lessons and a tutoring center.

Snatr, at snatr.com, is built for another case: a private tutor, a tutoring center or an academy that sells its lessons in EGP and wants to start today. If you are comparing it with other school systems, see Snatr vs Skolera and Snatr vs Moodle.

How much does Classera cost? And how much is Snatr for a center or academy?

Classera has a pricing page with named plans and features, but not a single number, and you start with a demo request. Snatr's prices are published: 999 EGP a month for 100 students, 1,999 for 200, and 2,999 for 400.

In Snatr

  • Starter: 999 EGP a month, 100 students, 50 GB, and each extra student at 15 EGP.
  • Basic: 1,999 EGP, 200 students, 150 GB, and each extra student at 10 EGP.
  • Pro: 2,999 EGP, 400 students, 300 GB, plus live classes and a custom domain.
  • No setup fee, and an extra student is charged once when they join, not every month.
  • A free 7-day trial you start yourself, with no card.

In ⁨Classera⁩

  • The pricing page has 3 products: Classera Premium, Classera Pro and Classlight.
  • None has a price, and the button is "Request a demo".
  • The comparison table says "Fees Setup" next to items such as the co-branded app in Pro and Classlight.
  • Training and parent onboarding are part of the plans, on site or online.

Classera's prices are not published on 10 October 2026, so we have not put a number of our own. If they quote you a price for your number of students, divide it by the students and compare it with about 10 EGP per student on Snatr. On Snatr, a student paying online pays the payment fee on top of the 300 EGP.

This is from Classera's pricing page on 10 October 2026. "Fees Setup" means the item has a setup fee, and the amount is not written. So we have not put a number of our own.

On Snatr, if you have 120 students on the Starter plan, you pay for 20 extra students at 15 EGP, which is 300 EGP once, and the places stay yours. Enrollment does not stop if you go over your plan.

Your price reaches you in full. The online payment fee is added on top of your price for the student, and a student who paid you cash is enrolled by hand with no commission. See Snatr's prices in detail.

In short: If you ask Classera for a demo, ask for the price in writing for your number of students, and ask about every "Fees Setup" in the plans table. Then compare it with 999 EGP for 100 students on Snatr, with no setup fee.

Does Classera accept Fawry? And how do students pay on each?

Yes, Classera has partnered with Fawry since 2022 so students can pay school fees through C Pay. That is paying fees to an institution. On Snatr, students buy a course on your platform in EGP, or with a prepaid card, and get access automatically.

In Snatr

  • Students pay by card, with a Fawry code within 24 hours, or with a wallet such as Vodafone Cash.
  • Prepaid cards you print and sell for cash: the code unlocks a course or group, or adds credit.
  • Percentage or fixed discount coupons, for the whole site, a course, a group or a stage.
  • A coupon can have limited or unlimited uses, and each student can use it once.
  • You withdraw earnings to Vodafone Cash, InstaPay or a bank, with a current minimum of 100 EGP.

In ⁨Classera⁩

  • C Pay is a payment gateway for education, standalone or linked to the learning and training systems.
  • It accepts many payment methods and currencies, and sets up payment plans for fees.
  • The Fawry partnership: more than 300,000 machines, the myFawry app and Fawry Plus branches, for paying fees.
  • Edumalls is a school store for uniforms and books, paid online, in cash or in installments.
  • Coupons or prepaid cards for courses: not mentioned.

This is from the C Pay page, the Edumalls page and the Fawry partnership news on Classera's site. All of it is built for an institution collecting fees from students already enrolled there.

In private lessons, a student chooses a course and pays for it, and the platform has to open the course as soon as the payment is confirmed. Snatr is built for this case, with no need to talk to a sales team.

Prepaid cards matter in Egypt in particular. Many students have no card and no wallet, so they buy a card at the center or a bookshop for cash, and type the code on your platform.

In short: Installments in Edumalls are for school purchases such as uniforms and books. Snatr has no installments for students.

Protecting paid video: Classera or Snatr?

Classera talks about data encryption and ISO 27001 certification, but blocking video downloads or a watermark with the student's name is not mentioned. Snatr encrypts the uploaded video itself, so the well-known download tools cannot download it.

In Snatr

  • Uploaded video is encrypted, and its key goes to a locked part of the browser, not the page.
  • Download extensions, "paste the link and download" sites and tools like yt-dlp cannot download it.
  • A moving watermark with the student's name, so an ordinary screen recording carries their name.
  • A student watches on one device at a time, so an account is not shared among friends.

In ⁨Classera⁩

  • ISO 27001 certification for its information security management.
  • Classlight is "secure and supported by modern encryption technologies", in a passage about data security.
  • An AI tool that adds subtitles, objectives and questions to videos.
  • Blocking video downloads, a watermark or a device limit: not mentioned.

Encrypting data is one thing, and encrypting video so it cannot be downloaded is another. The first protects students' data from breaches. The second protects the video you sell from being downloaded and posted in a group.

We at Snatr measured the protection: the file without the key comes out as noise, with a similarity to the original of 10.6 dB. With the key it comes out intact at 59.9 dB. Classera has not published any measurement like this for video.

Screen recording is not blocked on Snatr, and neither is a phone filming the screen. The watermark only deters. On iPhone and iPad the video plays normally, but its protection is weaker against a technically skilled person. Learn about video protection on Snatr.

Live classes, exams and AI: what does each platform have?

Snatr has live classes inside your platform with automatic attendance, an exam timer on the server, and a completion certificate with a verification code. Classera has more exam types, question banks and AI tools, and how many depends on the plan.

In Snatr

  • Live classes inside your platform on the Pro plan, with chat, raised hands and a mic for the student.
  • Attendance in a live class is recorded automatically: present or late.
  • Exams are graded automatically, and the timer runs on the server, so a student cannot extend it.
  • A printable course completion certificate that anyone can verify on a QR page.
  • No AI tools, and students do not upload a file for homework.

In ⁨Classera⁩

  • Unlimited virtual meetings in Premium and Pro; not available in Classlight.
  • Exams generated automatically from the question bank and curriculum, with ready-made and private question banks.
  • X.SERA, an AI assistant that answers text and voice, and exams that adapt to the student.
  • E-certificates, contests, badges and rewards for students.
  • Homework in every plan, plus digital libraries and surveys.

This is from Classera's LMS page and pricing page. The number of exam and question types depends on the plan: Classlight has two exam types, Pro has four, and Premium has all of them.

AI tools and exams that adapt to each student's level are in Classera, not in Snatr. Multiple-choice and true-or-false exams are in both, and on Snatr the grade reaches the parent in their portal.

Live classes on Snatr are not encrypted like uploaded video. They carry a watermark and a temporary link, and screen recording works.

Running an institution on Classera, or running a center on Snatr?

Classera runs a school or institution: admissions, student affairs, a canteen, a clinic, a timetable, and attendance from the app and the web. Snatr runs a tutoring center: branches and groups with schedules and capacity, QR card attendance and a parent portal.

In Snatr

  • Branches and groups with their schedules and number of places, plus sessions and an attendance sheet.
  • Attendance with a printed QR card for each student, or by hand from the session sheet.
  • Parents log in to a portal on your site and see their child's attendance and grades.
  • Assistants and receptionists with their own accounts, and you choose which screens each one sees.

In ⁨Classera⁩

  • Admissions and enrollment, student affairs, a timetable generator, a clinic and an electronic canteen.
  • Student attendance from the app and the web, and a face recognition feature in Premium.
  • An app for parents, with features called Child Tracking and Child Call.
  • Many roles: accountant, adviser, student affairs officer, clinic officer and school owner.
  • SMS messages, with 5,000 messages included in the Premium plan.

Classera has school management tools that Snatr does not: admissions, a clinic, a canteen, messages to parents and face recognition. These are tools for a school, not for a tutoring center.

But a center is not a school. A center has groups that meet at fixed times, students who pay by the month or by the session, and an assistant at the door taking attendance. Those are exactly the screens Snatr has.

Snatr has 4 ready permission templates for assistants: reception, branch supervisor, academic assistant and full access. The QR card is signed and cannot be forged, but it can be photographed and sent to someone else, so it is card attendance, not a fingerprint.

In short: See center management on Snatr if you have branches and groups.

Running an academy? Classera's C-Spaces or your platform on Snatr

Classera has C-Spaces, a virtual academy under the institution's brand that sells courses, priced after a demo. Snatr gives you a platform in your name today, with your courses and prices in EGP.

In Snatr

  • Your platform on a site in your name, with your courses, stages and prices.
  • 30 ready designs you edit with no code, and the first two are free.
  • Each site has its own sitemap, so Google can find your pages.
  • A custom domain like mybrand.com on the Pro plan, which the Snatr team buys and connects.
  • No mobile app in your name; students open your platform in the phone's browser.

In ⁨Classera⁩

  • C-Spaces is a "white-label" platform for a school, training institute or company, with its logo and colors.
  • It sells courses to your own learners and to outside learners, and their team helps with marketing.
  • A co-branded mobile app: free in Premium, with a setup fee in Pro and Classlight.
  • The general Classera app is only for students and parents whose school is subscribed.

C-Spaces is built for a training institute or a company that wants a large academy under its own brand. But its page has no price, no payment methods for learners, and no way to start on your own.

On Snatr, the first year of the custom domain is free with the Pro plan, and it is not available during the trial. Once it is connected, the old link redirects to it automatically, and your Google ranking moves with it.

Classera makes an app under the institution's brand, free on Premium and with a setup fee on the other plans. On Snatr there is no app in your name, and students open your platform in any phone's browser without installing anything.

In short: Browse Snatr's designs before you choose; each design has a full preview.

Is Classera in Arabic? How do you start with each, and how does support work?

Classera's site is in Arabic, the Classlight app is in Arabic, you start with a demo request, and it comes with training and an account manager. Snatr is in right-to-left Arabic, you start a 7-day trial yourself, and support is on WhatsApp and email.

In Snatr

  • The dashboard is right-to-left Arabic with English too, and your site can be Arabic, English or both.
  • You choose the registration fields students fill in, and students sign in by phone or email.
  • Students create their account on your platform, or you create it for them from the dashboard.
  • Support in Arabic on WhatsApp and email at support@snatr.com, around the clock.

In ⁨Classera⁩

  • A full Arabic site, and the Classlight app in Arabic, English, French and Urdu.
  • You start with a demo request, with training for all users on site or online.
  • An account manager, support tickets, a launch event, and onboarding for parents and students.
  • Student accounts come from the subscribed school, according to the app description.

The Classera app description on Google Play says the app is only for students and parents who have an account, and that anyone whose school is registered should ask the school for their account details. In other words, the institution opens the accounts.

On Snatr, you own the account. You open your platform, add your courses, and your students sign up themselves with the details you chose.

Snatr's limits, before you sign up

We list them up front so you decide knowing everything.

  • Snatr is not a school system: it has no admissions, clinic, canteen, human resources or timetable generator.
  • No AI tools: no questions written automatically, and no exams that adapt to the student's level.
  • No file-based homework submission: students answer questions on the platform; they do not upload a file or photo for their homework.
  • No app in your name: your platform runs in the phone's browser.
  • No automatic messages to parents: no WhatsApp and no SMS. Parents follow along from their portal on your site.
  • Screen recording is not blocked: and neither is a phone filming the screen. The watermark makes the student's name visible, but does not stop it.
  • iPhone and iPad: the video plays normally, but its protection is weaker against a technically skilled person.
  • No earnings split between several teachers: in an academy with many teachers, all the money goes into one account.
  • Live classes and the custom domain are on the Pro plan only: and the domain is not available during the trial.
  • No installments, and plan changes go through support: students cannot pay in installments through valU or banks, and you do not change your plan yourself.
