Snatr vs Darasly: a private tutoring broker or a platform in your name (2026)

If you are a teacher in Egypt and want your students, your name and your income to stay yours, Snatr is the better choice. Students pay you on your own platform and your price reaches you in full, with your courses, live classes, center and parents in one account in your name. Darasly is a broker that connects parents with private tutors, at home or on Zoom, mostly for international curricula and languages.

What is Darasly (darasly.com), and who is it for?

Darasly is an Egyptian private tutoring platform, and its official site is darasly.com. Its terms say it "works as a middleman to organize and coordinate private lessons, and to connect students and parents with tutors". So a parent asks for a tutor, and Darasly recommends one and coordinates the schedule and payment.

Most of the site is about international curricula and languages: the British IG system, American, Canadian, the International Baccalaureate (IB), the Egyptian language-school curriculum, and university. Lessons are either at the student's home in districts of Cairo, Giza and Alexandria, or online on Zoom and Google Meet.

A tutor on Darasly is "independent" and not their employee, as the terms say. You apply to join, pass an evaluation and an interview, and then parents can book you. Your earnings are transferred to you after the lessons, under their policy.

Darasly brings you bookings without you marketing yourself, and arranges scheduling, rescheduling and payment with parents. What its site does not state: its share of a lesson, how your money is transferred, and any tool for selling a recorded course or running a center.

Snatr at snatr.com is something else: a platform and a website in your name. You bring your own students, they pay you on your platform, and your courses, live classes, center and parents sit in one account. If you are comparing other platforms, see every Snatr comparison.

Should I tutor through Darasly or build my own platform on Snatr?

These are two different ways of working, not two platforms doing the same thing. Darasly brings you one-to-one lesson bookings and takes an unpublished share. Snatr gives you your own platform: you bring your students and pay a fixed subscription.

In Snatr

  • Starter: 999 EGP a month for 100 students and 50 GB.
  • Pro: 2,999 EGP for 400 students, with live classes and a custom domain.
  • Your price reaches you in full; the online payment fee is added for the student.
  • Extra students are charged once, and center-only students do not count toward the plan.
  • The students and the data are yours, on your own site.

In ⁨Darasly⁩

  • The platform takes parents' requests and recommends a suitable tutor.
  • It coordinates schedules, rescheduling and payment.
  • Book a single lesson, several hours, or an hour bundle.
  • The trial lesson is paid.
  • The platform's share of a lesson is not published on the site.

A student who comes to you through a broker books and pays through it, and your price sits within a frame the broker sets. On your Snatr platform your price reaches you in full, and your name is the one parents know. Every student who signs up with you can be sold the next course or added to a group.

To compare in numbers, ask Darasly before you join: how much of a lesson do you take, and how and when is my money transferred? Then compare that with Snatr's monthly subscription. See Snatr's prices in detail.

In short: A student who signed up on your platform stays your student: they buy the next course, attend your group, and their parent follows them from your site. That is what builds you a steady income in your own name.

Does Darasly accept payment in EGP, Fawry and mobile wallets?

Darasly's site does not name its payment methods, and its terms say payment is made "according to the payment methods Darasly provides and announces at the time of booking". On Snatr students pay online in EGP by card, Fawry and wallets.

In Snatr

  • Students pay in EGP by card, Visa and Mastercard.
  • Fawry: the student gets a code and pays it at any Fawry outlet within 24 hours.
  • Mobile wallets such as Vodafone Cash.
  • You withdraw to Vodafone Cash, InstaPay or your bank account.
  • Top-up cards you print and sell for cash, and discount coupons.

In ⁨Darasly⁩

  • Payment methods are announced at booking and are not listed on the site.
  • A booking is confirmed once the schedule is agreed and payment is received.
  • Cancelling at least 24 hours before the lesson is not charged to the student.
  • Tutors' earnings are transferred "regularly after lessons are completed".

On Snatr money goes into your wallet and becomes available to withdraw after a safety period of currently 7 days. The minimum withdrawal is currently 100 EGP.

On Snatr, a student who paid you cash at the center is enrolled by hand with no commission. You can also print cards with codes, and a code either unlocks a course or group, or adds credit to the student's balance on your site.

Want to sell a recorded course? Darasly is for lessons, Snatr is for courses and lessons

Darasly's site talks about scheduled lessons, and does not mention selling recorded courses or uploading video. On Snatr you sell courses with uploaded, encrypted video, and run groups and live classes too.

In Snatr

  • Courses with video lessons, files and exams, priced in EGP.
  • Uploaded video is encrypted, and yt-dlp and downloader extensions cannot download it.
  • A watermark with the student's name moves across the video.
  • A student can be signed in on only one device at a time.
  • Screen recording is not blocked; the watermark only deters it.

In ⁨Darasly⁩

  • The service is one-to-one scheduled lessons, at home or online.
  • Selling recorded courses and uploading video are not mentioned.
  • The terms ask the student not to share lesson links with anyone.

The measurement on Snatr: without the key the file comes out as noise, only 10.6 dB similar to the original. With the key it comes out intact at 59.9 dB. On iPhone and iPad protection is a little weaker against a technically skilled person. Learn how Snatr protects video.

Darasly's online lessons run on Zoom: what about Snatr?

Darasly says its online lessons run on Zoom and Google Meet, with interactive whiteboards. On Snatr live classes run inside your platform on the Pro plan, and attendance is recorded automatically.

In Snatr

  • Live classes on your platform with no Zoom, with chat, raised hands and a mic for students.
  • Live attendance is recorded automatically: present or late.
  • Exams are graded automatically, and the exam timer runs on the server.
  • A printable course completion certificate with a QR code for verification.

In ⁨Darasly⁩

  • Online lessons on Zoom and Google Meet.
  • Interactive smart whiteboards in online lessons.
  • Home lessons in districts of Cairo, Giza and Alexandria.
  • Exams and certificates are not mentioned.

A one-to-one lesson on Zoom works well with one student. When you teach a large group, live classes inside your platform save you Zoom links, and attendance is recorded without anyone writing it down. Live streams on Snatr are not encrypted like uploaded video: they carry a watermark and a temporary link, and screen recording works.

You run a center or groups: Darasly or Snatr?

Darasly is built for one-to-one lessons and does not mention tools for running a center. Snatr is built for centers: branches and groups, QR card attendance, a parent portal and assistants with permissions.

In Snatr

  • Branches and groups with schedules and seat limits, and a register for every session.
  • Attendance with a printed QR card for every student, or by hand.
  • A parent portal on your site showing the child's attendance and grades.
  • Assistants with their own accounts, and you choose which screens each one sees.

In ⁨Darasly⁩

  • The parent books and follows up with the platform.
  • Periodic follow-up reports with hours used and remaining, "when available".
  • Center attendance, branches and assistants are not mentioned.

Snatr's QR card carries a signed code that cannot be forged, and the assistant scans it at the door. But the card can be photographed and sent to someone else, so this is card attendance, not a fingerprint. See center management in Snatr.

Who brings the students, and where do you build your name?

Darasly brings you students, but booking, contact and payment go through it. On Snatr you bring your own students, they know you from your own site, and the students and their data are yours.

In Snatr

  • A full site in your name, with 30 designs you edit without code.
  • A custom domain like mybrand.com on Pro; the Snatr team buys and connects it.
  • Every site has its own sitemap so Google can find your courses.
  • You choose the sign-up fields: governorate, stage and parent phone.
  • No marketplace that brings you students, and no app in your name.

In ⁨Darasly⁩

  • A tutor profile, and parents choose by subject, curriculum and area.
  • Student ratings of the tutor.
  • Joining by application, then an evaluation and an interview.
  • The platform reviews the tutor's performance and dealings with clients.

A student who came to you through a broker stays the broker's client: the next booking and the payment go through it. A student who signed up on your platform becomes your student, and you can sell them a course or add them to a group. Browse Snatr's designs.

How do you start with Darasly and with Snatr?

On Darasly you apply to join and wait for the evaluation and interview. On Snatr you open your account yourself, with a free 7-day trial and no card.

In Snatr

  • A free 7-day trial; your site closes when it ends without a subscription.
  • Support in Arabic on WhatsApp and email, around the clock.
  • The dashboard is in right-to-left Arabic, with English too.

In ⁨Darasly⁩

  • An application through "Join as a tutor", then an evaluation and an interview.
  • Contact by phone and WhatsApp on an Egyptian number, and by email.
  • The site is in Arabic and English.

If you join Darasly, ask them three things before your first lesson: what their share of a lesson is, when and how the money is transferred, and what happens if the student cancels at the last minute.

Snatr's limits, before you sign up

We list them up front so you decide knowing everything.

  • Snatr does not bring you students: there is no marketplace and no bookings from new parents. Marketing is up to you, and your site shows up on Google under your name.
  • No booking of lessons at the student's home: Snatr runs online teaching, your center and your groups, not home visits.
  • A fixed subscription even with few students: the first plan is 999 EGP a month.
  • Live classes and a custom domain are on Pro only: at 2,999 EGP a month.
  • No app in your name: your platform runs in the phone and computer browser.
  • Screen recording is not blocked: nor is a phone filming the screen. The watermark carries the student's name, which deters, but it is not proof of who recorded.
  • No messages to parents: no WhatsApp or SMS is sent automatically. Parents follow along from their portal on your site.

Frequently asked questions

Snatr or Darasly: which is better for a teacher in Egypt?

Snatr is better for a teacher who wants to build their own work in Egypt. Students pay you on your platform by card, Fawry or wallet, and your price reaches you in full. It has your courses with encrypted video, live classes, and your center and parents, all in your name. Darasly is a broker that brings private lesson bookings, at home or on Zoom, mostly for international curricula and languages, and its share of a lesson is not published.

How much does Darasly take from a tutor?

Darasly's site does not state its share of a lesson on 16 October 2026. It says a tutor sets their price "within a pricing framework" the platform sets, and that earnings are transferred regularly after lessons. Ask them for the number before you join.

How do I join Darasly as a tutor?

The FAQ on darasly.com says you apply through "Join as a tutor", followed by an evaluation and an interview to check your subject and experience. On 16 October 2026 the "Start as a tutor" button on the site opened the students' tutor request form, so the easiest route is to contact them through the channels on their site. Tutors there work as independents, not as their employees.

What is Darasly's official website?

The official site is darasly.com, and its English name is Darasly. There are apps and platforms with similar names, such as "Darrasni", and they are not it. This comparison is about darasly.com only.

Does Snatr bring me students?

No. Snatr is not a marketplace or a broker, and it does not show your courses to new students. It gives you a platform and a website in your name, and marketing is up to you. Your site has its own sitemap so Google can find your courses.

Can I use Darasly and Snatr together?

You can, but a student who came to you from Darasly books and pays through it, so read their terms first. A student who signs up on your Snatr platform stays your student, and your price reaches you in full. So if you want to build work in your own name, make Snatr the main home for your students, courses and groups.
