Snatr vs Centrix: a comparison for teachers and tutoring centers in Egypt (2026)

Snatr is the better fit for a teacher or a center in Egypt, because it brings the center and online teaching together. It has branches, QR attendance and a parent portal, plus a website in your name and encrypted video. Students pay online by card, Fawry or wallet, and the course opens automatically, from 999 EGP. Centrix is a system for running a center, its page says it assumes no payment gateway, and live classes and video protection are not stated.

What is Centrix, the tutoring center software, and who is it for?

Centrix is a system for running tutoring centers and educational centers, and it presents itself as "the smart operating system for tutoring centers". Its website is centrix.company, its prices are in EGP, and it says it targets centers in Egypt mainly and suits independent teachers too.

The system is built around the student. You reach the student with a QR card, their code or their name, and record their attendance, a payment or a product purchase. It also has an accounts system, branches and halls, permissions for assistants and secretaries, a parent experience, and online exams.

Two things stand out about Centrix: its prices and limits are published as numbers, and its AI assistant carries out tasks rather than only answering. Its first plan, at 499 EGP, includes 400 students, 4 branches and 8 users. Setup, data migration and training are free on every plan.

What is not clear on the Centrix website is online teaching. It says it "supports LMS" and online exams, but details of video, files and homework are "reviewed in the demo". Online payment, live classes and a website in the teacher's name are not stated.

Snatr at snatr.com brings the center and online teaching together in one account: branches, QR card attendance and a parent portal, plus your website, courses, encrypted video and payment in EGP. If you are comparing other center software, see all Snatr comparisons.

How much is Centrix, and what do you get in a Snatr subscription?

Centrix starts at 499 EGP for 400 students and 4 branches, for running the center. Snatr starts at 999 EGP for 100 students and includes the center plus your website, courses, encrypted video and online payment, so you need no second platform to teach online.

In Snatr

  • Starter: 999 EGP a month, 100 students, 50 GB, and 15 EGP per extra student.
  • Basic: 1,999 EGP, 200 students, 150 GB, and 10 EGP per extra student.
  • Pro: 2,999 EGP, 400 students, 300 GB, 7 per extra student, plus live classes and the custom domain.
  • An extra student is charged once, and a branch student with no online enrollment does not count toward the plan.
  • Branches, attendance, the parent portal, video and exams are on all three plans.

In ⁨Centrix⁩

  • STARTER: 499 EGP, 400 students, 4 branches, 8 halls, 8 users.
  • PRO: 999 EGP, 1000 students, 6 branches, 20 halls, 25 users.
  • ELITE: 1,499 EGP, with no limit on students, branches, halls or users.
  • Yearly: 4 months free "for a limited time".
  • Setup, data migration, training and supported messages are in the subscription.

Example: a teacher with 100 students paying 300 EGP a month, teaching at the center and online

On Snatr you keep 29,001 EGP, students pay online and the course opens automatically, with your website and encrypted video

The calculation assumes students pay you in cash or online on both. On Snatr, the student pays the online payment fee on top of the 300 EGP. Over a year, Snatr Starter is 11,988 EGP, and Centrix STARTER is 5,988 monthly, and less if the 4-month offer is still running.

These prices are from the pricing page on the Centrix website on 10 October 2026. Next to each price a higher "previous price" is shown: 600, 1,200 and 2,000 EGP. The cost of supported messages is in the subscription, but the website does not say which messages they are.

If your center is large, a branch student who attends with no online enrollment does not count toward a Snatr plan at all. What counts is a student enrolled in a course or a group on your platform. If you have 400 such students, Pro at 2,999 EGP covers 400 students and adds live classes and the custom domain. Or you take Basic at 1,999 EGP and pay for 200 extra students at 10 EGP, which is 2,000 EGP once.

On Snatr you get your price in full. The online payment fee is added on top of your price for the student, and a student who paid you cash is enrolled manually with no commission. See Snatr's pricing in detail.

Does Centrix accept online payment through Fawry and mobile wallets?

It is not stated. The Centrix payments page says plainly that it does not specify a payment method or assume a payment gateway. It records collection at the center. Snatr has online payment by card, Fawry and wallets, plus top-up codes you sell for cash.

In Snatr

  • The student pays on your website by card, a Fawry code, or a wallet such as Vodafone Cash.
  • The money goes into your Snatr wallet, and you withdraw to Vodafone Cash, InstaPay or the bank.
  • Cards with codes that you print and sell for cash; a code unlocks a course or group or adds credit.
  • Discount coupons by percentage or a fixed amount, for the whole site, a course, a group or a stage.
  • No center accounts and no tracking of monthly dues.

In ⁨Centrix⁩

  • Student payments and collection are recorded by QR, code or name.
  • An accounts system for the center's financial operations.
  • Product purchases by QR inside the system.
  • The parent sees payments and dues.
  • Payment methods and receipts are "reviewed with the commercial offer".

The difference here is where the payment happens. Centrix organizes the money you receive at the center. On Snatr the student pays on your website, and the money goes into your wallet, which you withdraw after a safety period of currently 7 days.

Center accounts are in Centrix, and not in Snatr: Snatr does not track monthly group fees or late payers. In return, on Snatr the student pays on your website by themselves, and the course opens without anyone recording the payment by hand.

Snatr's top-up codes bridge the two approaches. You sell the card for cash at the center, and the student types the code on your website to unlock the course or group by themselves. A coupon can have a usage limit or be unlimited, and works once per student.

Does Centrix have an LMS, courses and protected video?

The Centrix website says it "supports LMS", but also says the details of video, files and homework are reviewed in the demo. Selling courses and video protection are not stated. Snatr sells courses with encrypted video on your website.

In Snatr

  • Courses with video lessons you upload, or a YouTube link for free lessons.
  • Uploaded video is encrypted, and download extensions and yt-dlp cannot save it.
  • A moving watermark on the video with the student's name.
  • A student account works on only one device at a time.
  • Any student can buy the course on your website, not only students at your center.

In ⁨Centrix⁩

  • "Centrix supports LMS" for centers, and that sentence is all the website says.
  • Details of video, files and the question bank are "reviewed separately".
  • Uploading and encrypting video are not stated.
  • Selling a course to a student for a price is not stated.

At Snatr we measured the protection. The file without the key comes out as noise, with a similarity to the original of only 10.6 dB. With the key it plays cleanly at 59.9 dB, and the higher the number, the closer the picture is to the original.

Screen recording is not blocked on Snatr, and neither is a phone filming the screen. The watermark deters, because the student's name shows on the recording, but it is not proof. On iPhone and iPad the protection is a little weaker against a technically skilled person.

If online teaching matters to you, ask Centrix in the demo to show a video playing on a student account. And ask: where is the video uploaded? Can it be downloaded? How does the student pay for it? Learn how video protection works on Snatr.

Exams and live classes: Centrix or Snatr?

Both have online exams, with grades that reach the parent. Snatr grades by itself, runs the exam timer on the server, and has live classes on the Pro plan and completion certificates. On Centrix you ask about automatic grading in the demo, and live classes are not stated.

In Snatr

  • Exams and homework that grade themselves, with the grade shown to the student and the parent.
  • The exam timer runs on the server, so refreshing the page gives the student no extra time.
  • Live classes inside your platform on Pro, with chat, raised hands and the mic for students.
  • Live attendance is recorded automatically: present or late.
  • A printable course completion certificate with a QR code that opens a verification page.

In ⁨Centrix⁩

  • Managing tests and student grades, and online exams.
  • The parent sees their child's results and grades.
  • Automatic grading and importing grades: "discuss them in the demo".
  • Live classes are not stated.

Recording a live class on Snatr is a feature that has to be switched on, and when it is on, the recording is added to the students' group. Live classes are not encrypted like uploaded video: they carry a watermark and a temporary link, and screen recording works.

In short: If you teach live classes to students at home, Snatr replaces Zoom, and live attendance is recorded next to center attendance.

Centrix or Snatr for running a tutoring center?

Both record attendance with a QR card, and both have branches, assistants with permissions and reports. Centrix has accounts and an AI assistant. Snatr brings center and live attendance and the parent portal into one record, along with courses and online payment.

In Snatr

  • Branches and groups with their schedules and seat counts, and a register for every session.
  • A printed, signed QR card for each student; statuses are present, late, absent or excused.
  • An attendance rate per group and branch, and a record per student covering center and live.
  • Assistants with their own accounts, 4 permission templates, and a log of their key actions.
  • Scanning needs internet, and there are no accounts and no AI assistant.

In ⁨Centrix⁩

  • QR, the student's code or name, for attendance, payments and product purchases.
  • Branches, halls and users in set numbers on each plan.
  • The owner or manager sets permissions for assistants and secretaries.
  • The AI Agent handles attendance, collection and reports from plain-language commands.
  • Student cards ordered through the system, with printing priced in a separate quote.

The AI assistant in Centrix does not only answer, it acts. You tell it "who owes money this month?" or "prepare a reminder for late payers", and it works on your center's data. Their website says an action that needs confirmation is reviewed before it runs.

On Snatr, the QR card carries a signed code that cannot be forged, and the assistant scans it from a phone or a computer. But the card can be photographed and sent to someone else, so this is attendance by card, not by fingerprint. Scanning needs internet, and Centrix does not mention offline work either.

The four assistant templates on Snatr are front desk, branch supervisor, academic assistant and full access. If you remove a permission from an assistant, it is gone at that moment, without them signing out and back in.

On Snatr you also choose the fields on the student registration form: governorate, city, stage, a photo of the national ID and the parent's phone. See center management on Snatr.

Parent follow-up on Centrix and on Snatr

Both give the parent a place to see their child's attendance, grades and payments. Centrix says plainly that this is not a promise of an automatic message or notification. Snatr puts center and live attendance together in a portal on your website, and it has no notifications either.

In Snatr

  • A portal on your own website, opened with a password you set.
  • The parent sees their child's attendance at the branch and in live classes, in one place.
  • The parent sees grades and payments if the child is enrolled in your online courses.
  • One parent follows all their children from the same account.
  • No notifications or messages reach the parent's phone.

In ⁨Centrix⁩

  • A "parent experience" with attendance, absence, payments and dues.
  • Results, grades and reports meant for the parent.
  • Their website says it is "not a promise of an automatic message or notification".
  • Devices and the terms for including it in the subscription are "reviewed in the demo".

On Snatr, the portal opens in any browser on an iPhone or Android phone, with nothing for the parent to install. It is view only, and nobody can see a child who is not their own.

If a notification that arrives by itself matters to you, ask Centrix about the "supported messages" whose cost is in the subscription: what they are, who receives them, and when.

A platform and website in your name: Centrix or Snatr?

Snatr gives you a website in your name with 30 designs, where a new student finds your courses, signs up and pays. Centrix is an operating system for the center, and a website in the teacher's name or an app-store app is not stated on its pages.

In Snatr

  • Your platform on a site in your name, with the custom domain on Pro.
  • 30 designs whose text, colors and images you edit with no code; the first two are free.
  • Each website has its own sitemap, so Google can find your pages.
  • No mobile app in your name. Students open your platform in the phone's browser.

In ⁨Centrix⁩

  • It runs on a computer, laptop, tablet and phone.
  • A public website in the teacher's or center's name is not stated.
  • An app on Google Play or the App Store is not stated.
  • Student cards linked to their data in the system.

A custom domain such as mybrand.com is available on Snatr's Pro plan only, and not during the trial. The Snatr team buys and connects it, and the first year is free with the plan.

That website is your storefront for anyone looking for you: it shows your courses and prices, and students sign up and pay there. See Snatr's designs.

How do you get started with Centrix and with Snatr, and what happens if you stop?

Both have a 7-day trial. On Centrix you fill in a form that prepares a WhatsApp message to the team, and setup, data migration and training are free. On Snatr you sign up and start by yourself, with support in Arabic on WhatsApp and email.

In Snatr

  • You sign up at snatr.com and start the trial right away, without waiting for anyone.
  • An Arabic dashboard, right to left, with English too.
  • Support in Arabic on WhatsApp and email at support@snatr.com, 24 hours a day.
  • No import of the student list from Excel. You add students from the dashboard.
  • Your website closes when the trial ends without a subscription.

In ⁨Centrix⁩

  • The trial or demo is requested on WhatsApp, and the form does not create an account.
  • Setup, data migration, training and support at no extra fee.
  • Exporting your data and real-time backups on every plan.
  • When the subscription ends, the account becomes read-only and the data is not deleted.
  • If you cancel early, the remaining period comes back as account credit, not cash.

Free data migration and training are a real Centrix advantage if you run a large center with a long list. On Snatr you add students yourself from the dashboard, and changing your plan is done through support.

How to move from Centrix to Snatr

  1. 1

Try Snatr before you stop anything

Open your Snatr account and use the free 7-day trial. Keep Centrix running until you are sure everything has moved. Note that your Snatr website closes when the trial ends without a subscription.

  2. 2

    Export your data from Centrix

Centrix says data export is available on every plan at no fee. Export your list of students, groups and parents. Snatr has no Excel import, so you will add them from the dashboard with the list in front of you.

  3. 3

Create your branches and groups and print the cards

Create each branch and its groups with their schedules and seat counts, and add the students. Then print a new QR card for each student, because the Centrix card will not work on Snatr.

  4. 4

Open accounts for assistants and parents

Open an account for each assistant and pick a permission template. Create an account for each parent with a password, link it to their children, and send them the link to their portal on your website.

  5. 5

Start online teaching and top-up cards

Upload your videos to Snatr so they are encrypted, and set a price in EGP for each course. If your students are used to paying cash, print top-up cards and sell them at the center.

  6. 6

Decide on accounts and the old subscription

Snatr has no center accounts, so decide how you will track them. If you cancel Centrix before the end of the period, the remaining time comes back as credit in your account there and cannot be withdrawn as cash, so stop before renewal.

Snatr's limits, before you sign up

We list them up front so you decide knowing everything.

  • No center accounts: Snatr does not track monthly group fees, late payers or expenses. Only online payments and top-up codes are recorded automatically.
  • Each plan has a student limit: the first plan is 999 EGP for 100 students, because it includes online teaching too. An extra student is charged once, and a branch student with no online enrollment does not count.
  • No AI assistant: you see figures and reports on their screens, not through plain-language commands.
  • No parent notifications: no WhatsApp, SMS or notifications are sent automatically. The parent sees attendance and grades when they open their portal.
  • QR attendance needs internet: scanning happens in the dashboard and does not continue if the internet drops.
  • No data migration from Excel: you add your students from the dashboard yourself.
  • One teacher on the platform: there is no way to have several teachers with split earnings in the same account.
  • No app in your name: your platform opens in the phone's browser, and there is no app on Google Play or the App Store.
  • Screen recording is not blocked: nor is a phone filming the screen. The watermark puts the student's name on the recording, which deters, but it is not proof.
  • Live classes and the custom domain are on Pro only: the domain is not available during the trial. Changing your plan is done through support.

Frequently asked questions

Snatr or Centrix: which is better for a teacher in Egypt?

Snatr is better for a teacher or a center owner in Egypt. It has branches, QR attendance and a parent portal, plus a website in your name, encrypted video and online payment in EGP, in one subscription from 999 EGP. Centrix is a system for running a center, its first plan is 499 EGP for 400 students and 4 branches, and it has accounts and an AI assistant. But its pages say it assumes no payment gateway, and protected video, live classes and a website in your name are not stated, so to sell your lessons online you would need a second platform beside it.

Are Centrix and its Arabic name the same software?

Yes. The website shows the name in English and Arabic side by side, and its official website is centrix.company. It presents itself as "the smart operating system for tutoring centers and educational centers", and targets centers in Egypt mainly.

How much does Centrix cost?

According to their page on 10 October 2026: STARTER is 499 EGP a month for 400 students, PRO is 999 for 1000 students, and ELITE is 1,499 with no limit. The yearly plan has 4 months free "for a limited time". Snatr starts at 999 EGP for the center and online together.

Is there a free trial on Centrix and on Snatr?

Yes on both, and it lasts 7 days. On Centrix you fill in a form that prepares a WhatsApp message to the team, and the form itself does not create an account. On Snatr you sign up and start by yourself, and your website closes when the trial ends without a subscription.

What does the Centrix AI Agent do?

According to their website, it is an assistant that carries out supported tasks from plain-language commands, not only answers. It searches for students, handles attendance and collection, and pulls up reports. Their website says it does not do anything you ask, only what the system supports. Snatr has no AI assistant.

What happens when a Centrix subscription ends?

According to their terms, the account becomes read-only, and the data is not deleted. You can sign in and view it until you renew. If you cancel before the end of the period, the remaining time comes back as credit in your account, and that credit cannot be withdrawn as cash.

Can I sell cards or codes to students on Snatr?

Yes. You print cards with codes and sell them for cash at the center. A code either unlocks a specific course or group, or adds credit to the student's balance on your website. There are also discount coupons by percentage or a fixed amount, once per student.

Does Snatr take a cut of my sales?

No. On Snatr you get your price in full. If the student pays online, the payment fee is added on top of your price for them, and it is not deducted from you. A student who pays you cash is enrolled manually with no commission at all.

If my students go over the plan on Snatr, do I pay for them every month?

No. A new student enrolls as normal, and an extra student is charged once when they enroll, not every month: 15 EGP on Starter, 10 on Basic, and 7 on Pro. On Centrix the number of students is set on each plan, from 400 up to no limit.

Can I use Centrix and Snatr together?

You can, but you will pay two subscriptions and record each student's attendance in two places. You could use Centrix for the center's accounts, and Snatr for the website, courses, video and live classes. But Snatr alone has attendance, branches and a parent portal, so if you do not need the accounts, one platform is easier for you and your students.
