Snatr vs Madar: Which Is Better for Teachers and Tutoring Centers in Egypt (2026)
Snatr is the better choice for a teacher or a center in Egypt. Its first plan is 999 EGP for 100 students, video is encrypted today, branches and QR card attendance are live, and live classes run inside your platform on Pro. Madar is an Egyptian platform that builds a teacher a platform in their name; its first plan is 2,507 EGP for 75 students, and its DRM protection and center system are still "coming soon".

Madar
An Egyptian platform for individual teachers and teacher teams that builds you a learning platform in your name on madar-edu.com, priced in EGP.
Madar is an Egyptian platform at madar-edu.com that builds a teacher a learning platform under their own name and logo, on a link like yourname.madar-edu.com. It is owned and operated by ABS.AI Technologies, whose address is in the First Settlement in New Cairo, according to its terms of use.
Madar divides its customers into three types: the individual teacher, a team of teachers working on one platform and splitting earnings, and the tutoring center. The first two have live plans. The "For K12 tutoring centers" tab on the pricing page says, on 7 October 2026, that the system is "launching soon".
Madar focuses on following students online. It has access codes for new students, WhatsApp messages, homework with model answers, and tracking of who watched the video and who did not. It also has an interactive demo with sample data that you can browse before signing up.
What it does not have yet, according to its pages: video protection by encryption (DRM) is marked "coming soon", the custom domain is locked on every plan, and the center system is still to come.
Snatr, at snatr.com, does the same thing: a platform in your name. But it is built for teachers and tutoring centers in Egypt together, starting now. Students pay in EGP, video is encrypted, and branches, attendance and parents are in the same account. If you are comparing Snatr with other platforms too, see all Snatr comparisons.
Price and money
How much does Madar cost, and which is cheaper for a teacher in Egypt: Madar or Snatr?
Snatr is cheaper at every number of students we calculated. Madar's first plan is 2,507 EGP for 75 students, and Snatr's first plan is 999 EGP for 100 students. With 100 students, the difference is about 2,100 EGP a month.
In Snatr
✓Starter: 999 EGP a month, 100 students, 50 GB, and an extra student costs 15 EGP.
✓Basic: 1,999 EGP, 200 students, 150 GB, and an extra student costs 10 EGP.
✓Pro: 2,999 EGP, 400 students, 300 GB, an extra student costs 7 EGP, plus live classes and a custom domain.
✓The plan does not limit the number of courses or groups.
✓Your price reaches you in full, and the platform fee is added for the student on top of your price.
In Madar
SPARK: 2,507 EGP a month, 75 active students, two subjects, 5 classes per subject and 250 GB.

Madar's prices are from its pricing page on 7 October 2026, and both platforms are in EGP. The difference is 2,133 EGP a month, about 25,600 EGP a year. Madar's GROW plan (3,190 EGP for 150 students, which includes parent notifications) leaves you 26,810 EGP. In Snatr the student pays the platform fee on top of the 300 EGP, so if you want them to pay exactly 300, set your price a little lower.

These prices are from Madar's pricing page on 7 October 2026, all in EGP, so there is no currency conversion. If you pay Madar a year in advance, SPARK comes to 28,580 EGP a year, about 2,382 EGP a month.
Madar counts "active students", and its pages do not explain when a student counts as active. Its plans also limit the number of subjects and the number of classes per subject, which Snatr's plans do not.
Madar's first plan has 250 GB, and Snatr's first plan has 50 GB. But on Snatr an extra student is charged once when they enrol, while on Madar it is 25 EGP every month. A Snatr plan also sets no limit on subjects or classes.
Madar's pricing page does not mention a commission on your sales, or who pays the payment company's fees. So the calculation below is done without any payment fees on Madar, which means the real difference could be larger. See Snatr's pricing in detail.
In short: With 400 students, the difference reaches 4,630 EGP a month, which is more than 55,000 EGP a year.
Does Madar accept payment in EGP, by Fawry and mobile wallets?
Yes. Madar accepts card, Fawry and InstaPay in EGP through Geidea, and its pages show the logos of wallets such as Vodafone Cash. Snatr also accepts card, Fawry and wallets. The difference is in how the money reaches you.
In Snatr
✓Students pay by card, with a Fawry code within 24 hours, or with a wallet such as Vodafone Cash.
✓The money goes into your Snatr wallet and becomes available to withdraw after 7 days, currently.
✓You withdraw to Vodafone Cash, InstaPay or your bank account, and the minimum withdrawal is currently 100 EGP.
✓You do not need to open a merchant account with any payment company.
✓A student who paid you cash at the center is recorded manually, with no fee at all.
In Madar
The FAQ says it is integrated with Geidea: Visa, Mastercard, Fawry, InstaPay "and others".
The solutions pages show the logos of Vodafone Cash, Orange Cash, Etisalat Cash and WE.
The user guide asks you to enter "merchant keys" from the payment company's dashboard, such as Paymob or Geidea.
Madar's commission and the payment company's fees are not mentioned on the pricing page.
How and when the money reaches you is not explained.
What Madar's guide says means payment is connected to a merchant account with the payment company. So ask them before you subscribe: is the gateway in your name or theirs? Who pays Geidea's fees? How long until the money reaches you?
In Snatr, the student pays on your platform and the money goes into your wallet. The holding period before withdrawal is 7 days and the minimum withdrawal is 100 EGP, and both figures are settings that may change.
Video and protection
Does Madar protect video from downloads, and how is it different from Snatr?
Madar's DRM protection is marked "coming soon" on the home page and the security page, meaning it is not live yet. In Snatr the video you upload is encrypted today, and well-known download tools cannot download it.
In Snatr
✓The video is encrypted, and its key goes to a locked component inside the browser, not to the page.
✓Download extensions, "paste your link and download" sites and yt-dlp cannot download it.
✓A moving watermark with the student's name, so any screen recording shows their name.
✓A student is signed in on one device at a time: signing in on a new device signs the old one out.
In Madar
DRM protection is marked "coming soon" on the home page and the security page, and "Protected content · coming soon" on the About page.
The security page mentions a watermark with the student's name and number on every video.
It also says the platform blocks screenshots and screen recording while watching.
More storage: 250 GB on the first plan.
At Snatr we measured the protection. Without the key the file comes out as noise, with a similarity to the original of only 10.6 dB. With the key it comes out clean at 59.9 dB, and the higher the number, the closer the picture is to the original. Madar has not published any measurement of its protection.
Madar's home page lists the watermark in the same sentence that carries "coming soon" alongside DRM. So if the watermark matters to you, ask them whether it works now or not yet.
Screen recording is not blocked in Snatr, and no one can stop a phone filming the screen from outside. The watermark deters, because the student's name appears on the recording. On iPhone and iPad, video plays normally and download tools fail there too, but the protection is weaker against a technically skilled person. This protection covers uploaded video only, not a YouTube link. Learn about video protection in Snatr.
Live classes and exams
Live classes on Madar: Google Meet, or streaming inside the platform like Snatr?
Madar connects your live sessions to Google Meet through your own Google account, and students join from your platform. Snatr has live classes inside your platform itself on the Pro plan (2,999 EGP a month), without Zoom or Google Meet.
In Snatr
✓Students watch on your platform under your name, with chat and raised hands.
✓You can give a student the mic to speak in front of their classmates.
✓Assistants can moderate mics, chat and who gets in.
✓Attendance at the session is recorded automatically: present or late.
✓Recording the session is a feature you switch on, and the recording is added to the student group.
In Madar
Connecting Google is optional, and Madar uses it only to create a Meet meeting in the calendar.
Google Meet has a check mark on every individual teacher plan.
On the teacher team plans, Google Meet has a cross on every plan.
The demo page mentions automatic attendance in sessions, and questions and answers inside the lesson.
Madar's price calculator says live sessions are "pay as you go", with no published price. So if you hold many sessions every week, ask them what it will cost you.
Live classes in Snatr are not encrypted like uploaded video. They carry a watermark and a temporary link, and screen recording works.
In short: If you want the session, attendance and group in one place, live classes on Snatr's Pro plan bring them together without Meet links. Attendance is recorded automatically: present or late.
Exams and homework: who has what on Madar and Snatr?
Both platforms have multiple-choice exams that grade themselves, and written questions you grade yourself. Madar also has model answers and retake rules. On both, the grade reaches the parent.
In Snatr
✓True or false, multiple choice and multiple answers, all graded automatically.
✓A written question you grade yourself, in group exams.
✓The grade appears to the student, and to the parent through their portal.
✓A printable course completion certificate, with a QR code that opens a verification page on your site.
In Madar
MCQ tests that grade themselves, with the result shown to the student right away.
Written homework you review yourself and grade with feedback.
Model answers and retake rules on every plan.
Test and grade analytics and report exports from the GROW plan.
Certificates are mentioned in the terms, and are not in the plans table.
On exams the two platforms are close, and Madar has model answers and retake rules. Snatr has printable completion certificates with a QR code for verification. On Madar, certificates are mentioned in the terms but not in the pricing table, so if they matter to your students, ask Madar which plan has them.
Centers and parents
I run a center: does Madar work for attendance, branches and parents?
Not now. Madar's "K12 tutoring center" system is marked "launching soon". Snatr has branches, groups, QR card attendance, a parent portal and assistants, along with online teaching, in one account.
In Snatr
✓Branches and groups with schedules and number of seats, and an attendance register for every session.
✓Attendance with a printed QR card for each student, or manually.
✓A parent portal on your site, where they see their child's attendance and grades.
✓Assistants and front-desk staff on every plan, and 4 ready-made permission presets.
✓The center and online courses in the same account.
In Madar
The "For K12 tutoring centers" tab on the pricing page says "launching soon", and has no plans.
The "For tutoring centers" page itself carries the word "soon".
A parent portal with attendance, grades and completion rate.
Parent notifications from GROW, and WhatsApp messages on every plan.
Assistants: none on SPARK, one on GROW and two on SCALE.
Madar's attendance report is on every plan, and its pages tie it to live sessions and classes. There is no mention of a QR card or of checking attendance at the center door.
The QR card in Snatr carries a signed code that cannot be forged, and the assistant scans it at the door. But the card can be photographed and sent to someone else, so this is attendance by card, not by fingerprint.
The four assistant presets in Snatr are front desk, branch supervisor, academic assistant and full access. If you remove a permission from an assistant, it is removed at that moment.
In short: If you run a center, Madar will cover only the online side until its center system is released. See center management in Snatr.

Your platform, your name
A platform in your name: the link and custom domain on Madar and Snatr
Both give you a platform with your name and logo on a subdomain. A custom domain like mybrand.com has a cross on every Madar plan. On Snatr it is on the Pro plan, and the Snatr team connects it.
In Snatr
✓A site in your name from day one.
✓Custom domain on Pro: the Snatr team buys and connects it, and the first year is free.
✓30 ready designs whose text, colors and images you edit without code, and the first two are free.
✓Your site can be in Arabic, English or both.
In Madar
Your link is like yourname.madar-edu.com, ready in under 10 minutes, according to them.
Logo, colors, platform name and a landing page on every plan.
"Connect a custom domain" has a cross on every plan in the pricing table.
The platform is multilingual on every plan.
Madar's terms of use say a teacher can connect a custom domain, and that registering and renewing it is their responsibility. But the plans table on 7 October 2026 says it is not available on any plan, so ask them before you rely on it.
In Snatr, the custom domain is not available during the trial. Once it is connected, the old link redirects to it automatically, and your Google ranking moves with it. Browse Snatr's designs.
WhatsApp, teacher teams and access codes: what does each platform have?
Madar has WhatsApp messages, and several teachers on one platform with split earnings. Access codes are on both platforms, and on Snatr you print them as cards sold for cash. Each platform on Snatr is for one teacher.
In Snatr
✓Top-up codes you print as cards and sell for cash; a code opens a course or group, or adds credit to the student's balance on your site.
✓No WhatsApp or SMS messages sent automatically to students or parents.
✓No multiple teachers with split earnings on the same platform.
✓Students sign up and pay on your platform, or you enroll them manually if they paid cash.
In Madar
Access codes created one by one or in bulk, and exporting them from the GROW plan.
WhatsApp messages, student notifications and class announcements on every plan.
Teacher team plans from 5,129 EGP, where the account owner sets each teacher's share.
Each teacher sees only their own students and revenue, and a student signs up once with several teachers.
An interactive demo with sample data that you can browse before signing up.
Access codes make a difference for a teacher who sells printed cards or codes to students, and both platforms have them. In Snatr you create the codes and print them as cards to sell at the center or a bookshop; the student types the code in their account, and it opens a course or group for a number of months or sessions, or adds credit to their balance. In Madar you create them one by one or in bulk, with export from the GROW plan.
Language and support
Is Madar an Egyptian company, and how do the free trial and support work?
Yes. Madar is owned by ABS.AI Technologies in New Cairo, and its terms fall under Egyptian law. Both platforms have a 7-day free trial and support in Arabic.

✓An Arabic right-to-left dashboard, with English as well.
✓Support in Arabic on WhatsApp and by email at support@snatr.com.
✓Changing your plan is done through support, not from the dashboard.
In Madar

A subscription refund within 7 days of the first payment, for new customers.
Renewal is automatic, and renewal payments are usually not refunded.
The user guide says support replies within two hours on working days.
The FAQ says you can export your data at any time.
This page is only about the Madar platform at madar-edu.com. If you find another website called "Madar" or "Madar Educational", check the link before comparing, because the prices and features here belong to madar-edu.com alone.
How to move from Madar to Snatr
1
Try Snatr before you cancel anything
Open your Snatr account and use the 7-day free trial. Keep your Madar subscription running until you are sure everything has moved. Note that your Snatr site closes when the trial ends without a subscription.
2
Export your student data from Madar
Madar's FAQ says you can export your data at any time. Take a copy of your students' names, their classes and their payment status, and if you cannot find the export button, ask their support for it.
3
Gather the original copies of your videos
Collect your lesson videos and PDF files from your computer. Upload the videos to Snatr so they are encrypted, and if you have free lessons on YouTube, you can add their link instead of uploading them.
4
Build your courses and set their prices in EGP
Create each course with its lessons and exams, and set its price in EGP. Remember that Snatr's fee is added for the student on top of your price, so choose the price you want the student to see.
5
Enroll your current students without them paying again
Student accounts and passwords do not move between platforms automatically. Any student who already paid you, enroll them in the course manually from the dashboard with no fee, and send them your new platform's link.
6
If you run a center, set up branches and cards
Create your branches and groups with their schedules, and print a QR card for each student. Open an account for each assistant with the permissions you choose, and send each parent their login details for their portal.
7
Cancel Madar before the renewal date
Madar's subscription renews automatically, and its refund policy says renewal payments are usually not refunded. So once your students start using your new platform, cancel your Madar subscription before the next renewal date.
